Hmm, tasty, I'm doing this exacly the same way! Exept butter, my wife is Chinese and she hates butter. Olive Oil only.

That's a french recipice, so if your wifey don't like butter you can put some fresh cream instead of butter, it's also better well. And don't forget the french Alsace white wine for cooking. ;)

Feel free to add other seafood, but keep in mind they may have different cooking times. For scallops I prefer them seared.

A family friend brings us mussels and fish every time he goes freediving, they come with so much stuff stuck to their shells, I usually take about 3 hours to clean around 3 kg, but they're so tasty 😂

Poor mussels! I have seen barnacles stuck on turtle shells and it’s horrible! Very great drawing by the way!

@@rackoflam I knoow! Mussels at least have their grip on rocks and don't move much, but turtles, they really have the bad end, when there's too many barnacles they can't swim and most times die from starvation ; ;) such a slow and painful death. And thank you very much, I'm still new to digital drawing, but practicing everyday 🤗

I typically use cooking wine since it is cheaper 😂 but you can use Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, the dryer ones.

what about the mushy poop like texture in them??? is it safe to eat them with that or should you squeeze it out after they cook. I noticed inside some cooked was i got from the restaurant.

I have refrigerated them for a day before cooking them so I think it’s fine. Just make sure not to refrigerate them while submerged in water or they’d die

I always use wine but you can try chicken broth if you want.

@@rackoflam Since I don't always have white wine handy to use in cooking, I keep a bottle of dry white vermouth which lasts forever. It's not the same thing but works for me. By the way, it looks like cilantro, not parsley on the photo!

Mussels farms place mussels seeds on ropes. The mussel beard is from ropes they use in mussel farm. it is not part of the mussels and they did not use it to anchor themselves 🤦‍♀️

I used cooking white wine but you may use the one with alcohol too. There are certain ones that are better for cooking
