No need to unscrew the 4 screws. rotate the filter counterclockwise and get it out.

There's no need to remove the four screws. By doing so the connector to the pump came loose and it was a hassle to find out what was wrong with the machine. To clean the filter, leave the pump screwed on as it is!

Really helpful video, the only thing I would say is that we had to use pliers to twist open our filter as there was a lot of limescale build up. So that's just something that people should be aware of but other than that the video is great, thanks.

No need to remove the pump just open the housing and clean it job done

This was useful for me as the troubleshooting guide that came with the machine said we could have an issue with the pump filter. It neglected to say, however, where I might find the said filter. Got my machine working again but I didn't have to remove the pump from the machine, just twist off the front cap.

Mine came out without removing the pump. It simply unscrewed and came out through the hole

Very helpful. Our machine was sounding a beep-beep-beep error when draining. I suspected the filter was clogged. I couldn't open the filter as (it turned out) it was clogged with a colour catcher sheet. This video showed me how to release the pump to get at the inlet pipe. I unclamped it and removed the obstructing sheet. Problem solved Thank you.

This type of plastic cover with plastic notches may anytime break as we need to often open it to drain water. Earlier, it used to be made of Tin which was small in size that need to be pushed from corners to open the cover which was much durable than these cheap plastic cover. It's the manufacturers who want to make more profits so using cheap materials to save production costs of every product right from Flash drives to refrigerators

Might be premature but I think you just fixed my washer! Found a piece of footwear insole and some coins clogging up the filter. I reckon this could possibly be acheived without raising your machine but perhaps only where the unit has already been drained or your fast/patient to catch the exciting liquid. Thank you for your expertise sir!

I have had my Indecit for about 15 years and never realised the drain was behind that panel. I have now accessed the drain filter and it was nowhere near as dirty as I'd expected. I always use soda christals in every wash, and I wonder if this is why the filter was gunk free?

I had a friend replace my drum in a Indesit iwe7145. The drum is spinning violently and ive found out the front counterweight has snapped. looking at the underside of the appliance, ive noticed that the shock absorbers have 2 location points on the drum. my friend has used the read location point to secure the absorber and they are not verticle in the machine, i cant find any info online to see if the absorbers should have been attatched to the drum at the front location points instead! any info?

so in order to clean the filter you need to unscrew the pump housing from the machine? I thought it was just a cap on a thread

I took out the filter cleaned it n put it back but when I turn on the machine, water is just flowing out of it without any remorse! :) Any idea why our what i could've done wrong? I can't turn on the machine now cos whatever water goes into the machine is flowing out through the filter
