Thank you so much, I am a 60 yr young lady. I cleaned both of these and put it back together, i did have pedal control ,which i had none before i cleaned these. After cleaning, took it for a run, it was idling high and not changing gears, so i also changed the acceleration sensor and OMG, I now have a new car. Easiest way to clean the MAF sensor is disconnect hose each side of MAF then unplug electrical connector then your able to clean it right where it is with MAF cleaning spray . Allow it to dry and reconnect both hoses and reconnect electrical connector :)

How much of that can did u use? I’ve seen all types of videos now some have thier car on some off, some have the engine on reving it, some have it off with a rock on the gas pedal, some say 3 Consecutive bursts of spray some say 5, some have the rag under the throttle opening some don’t.

I used an entire can of cleaner on one throttle body. Can the runoff make its way to the pistons and then go past the rings when started and then contaminate the oil?

I have the same car and I want to clean throttle separately... is there any problem with that!!!

I am with you with cleaning out the throttle body and MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor body. However, it would seem to me that the ribbed rubber connectors NEEDED to be thoroughly clean too; along with all of the air flow connectors; right back to the air filter; inside and out. Finally, I would think you should remove the entire throttle body and take it apart and clean it thoroughly; and then put it back together. I could be wrong but that is my humble opinion. I meant no disrespect.

My car is Toyota vitz..I discovered it would jark or irregular drive . I cleaned the throttle plus MAF sensor. But when I started it would not with MAF sensor. So I disconnected it then it would start and run but took double double per mile as before. My coils are ok plus plugs. What's the mess?

My car has been having trouble starting lately; usually it starts up fine, but if it has been sitting for a while, it seems to be weak for about 10 seconds after startup, but it runs fine after that. Today, it almost didn't start when I was sitting in the parking lot at my college, so I pumped the gas pedal a few times while cranking it and it barely started, but I was able to get it home. Also, the gas pedal is sticky, so that's what leads me to believe it's a throttle body issue. I plan on buying some throttle body cleaner tomorrow, but is the trouble starting issue related to the throttle body? I just brought it to a mechanic a couple of weeks ago because it wouldn't start, and he replaced the fuel pump, coil packs, spark plugs, and crankshaft position sensor, and I feel like I got completely ripped off so I'm trying to deal with this issue on my own lol (it's a 2001 Nissan Sentra 1.8 btw)

Is it possible for this car to have the MAF sensor somewhere else? I don't have wiring and I don't have a MAF in the location this one does. Mine is a 2001 Hyundai Elantra. Thanks for the video. At least my TB is clean :)

Don't forget to put that one screw back on and tighten everything appropriately

I'm not trying to bash anyone but make sure you do realize that using maf cleaner on the maf sensor can actually damage it. Your "parts professionals" at the auto zone or wherever will say it's great but if it was the manufacturer would be stocking this stuff. Maf sensors aren't exactly cheap either. And when cleaning the throttle body never spray directly into it spray a light coating on a rag and wipe
