BRAVO! You have mastered the grout cleaning stuff. I cannot make the brush but will go back to my steam cleaner. Not the long brush but the high powered steam will do the trick also.

Yes. It looks like you're doing a great job. But it looks like it's actually removing a small layer of grout. That is why it's getting it cleaned. You can only do that so many times.

Doublewide6, Thank you very much for this video and the accompanying video on fabricating the brush!! This works incredibly well with literally no effort (weight of tool on the brush is all that's needed). FWIW, I used the nylon brush (Harbor Freight # 69638) and rolling knee pad (Harbor Freight #67406) which makes the job even easer. For solution I used: 1 part dish washing soap, 10 parts vinegar, and 100 parts water and let sit for 5 minutes before scrubbing. Many thanks again!

Great stuff, nice dirty grout lines, just like mine. Yep that beats the heck out of Dremels Versa tool which doesnt hardly get anything out at all and batteries die in just over 10 mins. I'm gonna be a copy cat, thanks bro!

Awesome idea. I have been looking for some way to clean the grout lines in my rental property. I bought a narrow nylon brush and the multifunction oscillator at Harbor Freight today, put it together and wow it works great. I attached the brush in a different way though because I didn't want to destroy it. Thanks

The brush adapter with brush is homemade. It looks like he shaped a piece of sheet metal around a nylon wire brush head then drilled a hole for the oscillator attach point. you can't find a metal handle brush. i made the adapter-brush assembly using a piece of perforated square tube and an angle grinder, hammer, and vice/anvil.

I used a combination of brushes. harbor freight has some plastic brissel brushes that look like toothbrushes and hold up well. The other brush I used was a 5" scrub brush. I cut it on the compound miter saw and made several bushes. The brissels can be cut to about 3/8 of an inch for most effective scrubbing. It took me 3 brushes to do 450sqft. I think the hardest part is finding the metal to attach to the oscillator. I used metal from a drawer track. Good Luck and please post back Results.

I did seal the floor using grout sealer, but in fairness it was 5 years ago. I am going to reseal the floor again, but I'm going to use concrete sealer and a paint brush. Brushing gives better coverage then spraying and I feel commercial concrete sealer is going to hold up better.

Sounds great to me as it is all natural. All you need is water, a power brush, and and a powertool. What I didn't quite get here is how to attach the brush to the powertool. I wish you could have explained more.

Good video - thanks. I wonder if spraying with a detergent like Dawn, or a caustic pre-treat like Clorox toilet bowl cleaner, or CLR, before using the vibra-tool, might do an even better job.

LOL I’ve looked at a bunch of videos on cleaning grout tonight. It’s funny that women go for concoctions, men go for mechanics. I shall use a concoction with a power brush (my grout is pretty bad). Haven’t decided on drill or oscillating saw attachment.

For stone tiles you can get special alkaline cleaners that work well on grout.

I've been trying to find a brush to mount in my oscillating tool. All the narrow brushes and grout brushes ice found are plastic and break when I modify the handle to fit in the tool. Where did you get the brush in yours? I'm guessing a metal or wood handle is in order here. Thanks

Tile usually gets mopped in one way or another. Soon moisture, dirt and maybe some mold. Do you recommend once grout is v leaned to reveal tile and grout to extend the period begore the next deep cleaning?? Or how about regrouting and resealing at that point??

I've been setting tile for 30 years and the best that I found the clean your grout joint is mr. Clean Magic Eraser the past 6 years people ask me for grout cleaning that's what I tell him don't pay people to do it with acid or sulfamic but just get yourself a couple of magic erasers and it works like magic it's one of the few products I ever come across that does exactly maybe even beyond what advertised

Magic eraser will give a false clean, as it covers the stains and dirt. Better to clean it the right way and not be so lazy.

Thanks for sharing this -- it's quite motivating! I just wanted to point out one concern that may or may not apply here. I just purchased an oscillating tool to do a caulk removal project and the warnings specify not to use this tool near water (as it can so easily get in the housing and be a shock hazard). I read somewhere else where an electric toothbrush is recommended (be sure to label THAT toothbrush head!)

I don't have a ton of things I can fabricate a brush like that with. Do you have any suggestions with regard to a brush attachment that might work with the Genesis vibrating tool? Someone could make a nice penny if they could toll manufacture a part like that.

I agree, it seems like a great idea for grout cleaning! I am surprised no one has come up with that idea before -- but again, under the philosophy of "recycle/re-use", old battery operated toothbrushes may work quite nicely!

I'm sorry but all I did was get some Lysol toilet bowl cleaner because it has that little circle spout it fits right in the tile lines and you just outline the whole floor backing yourself out (I did two bathrooms) I left it for 2 hours cause I was doing something else and I actually used a brush that I got from the dollar store that looks like the second brush he showed I just brushed around each tile just to release the product because it had dried a bit sitting there I then mopped the floor and the grout was completely clean. I wish I could post the pics I took before and after.

If you a grout cleaner from prochem alk cleaner would make ur job so easy with a grout brush . Rinse mirco mop u would be done . Messing around with that lil tool

I did an experiment with vinegar baking soda and lemon juice. Surprisingly the best cleaner was a combination of all 3. You have to mop thoroughly to get it off obviously but the lemon juice brought up more dirt than vinegar and baking soda alone. I wonder if you could do the scrubbing and then suck it all up with a carpet cleaner.

Is grout sealer even worth it? Or since it really didn't cost to much to clean it and time wise maybe not? What's your opinion? I will use this idea over at my parents house - I've actually used a brush and Windex in the bathroom and it did an amazing job - I couldn't use this idea since I have more of a mosaic with to many little lines

Yes...the product is called...take your street shoes off before entering...get rid of all house pets...clean the floor twice a week. Product available in every Italian household...not available in mangacake households, sorry.

My bathroom floor tile was dirty one day i was cleaning the toilet with clorox toilet bowl cleaner the one with the funny nozzle dark blue and white bottle, well anyhow it dripped on tbe floor, phone rang i ran for the phone came back about 15 minutes later when i mopped my floor i seen a drip stain i look down carefully it was clean brand new grout... lol guess what i did took that funny little nozzle and put it to work on all tbe creases of the tiles.. worked like a charm mopped a few times as usual and almost no effort. New tile grout no back pain.. just thought id share not everyone has a husband like you to get down to the nitty gritty.. lol thanks for the video!

@Gus Goose Here in the USA we have always used the term "Colored Grout" but it could be either way. Really depends where you live and what terms people are useing in your area.
