How to clean up contact cement on foam cosplay

Messy contact cement on EVA foam armor and cosplay props can ruin an otherwise clean build. You can use acetone (in the form of nail polish remover) to clean it up before priming and painting. Just be mindful it is a solvent and you'll want to take some safety precautions before you use it.

Absolute life saver! The two projects I tried failed kinda miserably because of glue ruining the look. This is almost essential info and I'm surprised more tutorials don't include it. Thank you!

Does this work for older seams? I tried using it on some seams that are about a week old but it didn’t come off :(

Absolutely! True story, I have a similar squeeze bottle full of water nearby. That one is unlabeled. I grabbed it once and was wondering why my acetone wasn't working. Better that way than the other way around!
