Hi! Got a question: Where do you get your Faux Fur? I'm starting my own Senshi cosplay too! And do you have patterns for the shirt?

Yeap! I learned this technique from woodcarvers and wood burners. You are right, it's just ink.

Thank you for this video. New to costume making and have start a lazy press station of sorts but there's so much I didn't know that I learned from your video. Also, the music is pretty on point with what I listen to in my shop.

This sounds (to me) like a lot more faff than just printing normally, drawing around the foam and cutting it out. There are more steps involved with this. I'm not sure how this is supposed to save time, especially when it requires more effort and also trying to not get ink all over you. So, not for me.

Yah, not really practical for a one-off pattern or simple shapes. But, the sheet is reusable and not all patterns are simple to trace.

Does this work for older seams? I tried using it on some seams that are about a week old but it didn’t come off :(

Oh boy have I been going through this, and it doesn't help that I've been doing creative sewing work for over a decade. I'm at a point where I have had the ugly phase already, but my energy levels now don't allow me to work the same way I use to. Trying to create the same level of work with less energy has been a struggle but I am trying to figure something out.

Trying over and over again and letting yourself fail is a good way of learning! I hope you can let yourself do that and grow to become the creator you want to be!!! And I'll be rooting for you along the way!!

Absolute life saver! The two projects I tried failed kinda miserably because of glue ruining the look. This is almost essential info and I'm surprised more tutorials don't include it. Thank you!

lol, i been trying to find a thicker contact cement. Want it like the consistency of thick boogers so it doesnt drip off. Just let it air out some a?
@HimboHusbando
@HimboHusbando Жыл бұрын
You'll actually get better results spreading it on thinner and in multiple passes. If it's dripping you might be using too much. Airing it out will thicken it up, but it won't spread as evenly which will give you a weaker bond.
