I wash mine similar to you but a tip I want to give is if you have solid colored pads or even white with coloured trim and you air dry in the sun, have the underside facing up and the top facing down it helps stop sun bleaching your pad. 😊

Will this work with saddlepads that have piping around the edge? And also, my saddlepad has a tag where it says that it cannot be washing in the machine, can I still do it without it being ruined?

I know this is an older video, but another tip for getting hair off is to sweep it with a broom if you have really hairy saddle pads, especially during shedding season🙂

I now have one white pad reserved for dressage shows because mine don’t stay white

I also use stain remover and then just throw them in the washer..haha.

I bought an old saddle pad and I wanted it to look like new, I washed it twice and there is still dirt and hairs on it.

So when u put on the stain remover do u just let it soak while u wash it or do u rub it to get it out???

Im like super late, but most western pads are made of wool so i'd be careful putting them through the washer or using bleach on them.
