I feel guilty to say I have a collection of only stone pretty much and have NEVER done this, but this is why this video needs to be a thing. Also I have chipped some of my favorite stone plugs in the shower, I have learned my lesson. They were seraphinite by Dendrite. Good thing is they are still wearable.

We are NOT going to talk about the jade plugs I chipped by being lazy and cleaning them in the shower EVEN THOUGH I know better.

An addition: some stones can crack or get dull over time when they are regularly exposed to water. Some might even release toxic chemicals! Usually, the really fragile stones aren't made into plugs but some are and they do better if you just wipe them with a very lightly dampened cloth. Some examples: jade (dulls), moonstone (cracks), fluorite (dulls), malachite (releases chemicals), labradorite (release chemicals)

I would love to see a video on septum stacking: how to start the process, does it hurt, does it change the shape of your nose, and what happens when you remove the stack. I have a hard time finding any information about stacking as apposed to stretching.

I would love to see one on regular body jewelry. Some of my gems get kinda dull, even though they’re from reputable brands. Is it possible to give them a deeper clean without taking them out? Because i am still healing some of them

Really hope she makes a video on this too, but I clean mine the same way I do my wedding rings- warm water, mild soap solution, and a dedicated extra soft bristle toothbrush. I gently and slowly scrub my ear and it works quite well to get that CZ and gold shining again. Then rinse with plain water in the shower. Wouldn't recommend trying to polish jewelry before a piercing is fully healed though. But again the disclaimer this is only what I do for my own jewelry and I'm not a professional piercer!

Oh and also clarifying that I don't use the same toothbrush for my rings and the ear jewelry. Rings live on hands and I know they're nasty compared with the ears haha

I would yes! Although glass is super slippery so I usually use extra towels/fabric for cleaning it cause I have 100% flung glass plugs across the room before. Wondering if I should do a glass cleaning video or if that would be redundant?

Do ammonite and fossil count as stone? Do I clean them the same way as stone?

That’s going to depend on the specific specimens. I have one pair of ammonite I would clean this way. And one I couldn’t!
