Everybody else talkin about some complicated shit when all you really need to do is grab a bowl, put some laundry detergent in it, get an old tooth brush or a bigger brush if you have, and start scrubbing away the dirt. This method worked really well on my vans thanks man👍🏼

This was a really good video. Anyone who has ever really worn vans ( especially the Old Skools ) for a long time knows the white Mid Soles are not only a pain in the ass to clean but they are very gummy and rags and most other Items used to clean them usually just spreads the dirt and grease around on the white soles without doing much good to clean them. Really good technique. These kicks went from looking whooped to basically new with very little effort. Thanks for video and new sub here today. 👍🏼👍🏼

Honestly I had my doubts bc it seemed too good to be true but it actually worked! I used a hard toothbrush instead but my shoes look so nice. Mine were really worn out 💀, and after the cleaning I would say they look like I only wore them twice. Definitely recommend 💯.

I'm gunna try this out. Just grabbed some thrifted vans, and they're extremely well-loved looking, with pen stains and scuffs and definitely need a very deep clean, so I hope this method works!

I recommend doing a dry scrub with the brush to knock off all dirt then get it wet

I always use the original blue Windex on the fabric part of our shoes. I do the same thing I do for spot cleaning the carpet and furniture. Spray it, let it sit a minutes or 2. Scrub with a brush, wipe with a towel.

Yo, fix up a ton of custom, hydro dipped shoes. Buy a vendors permit in somewhere busy and sell your creations. Because honestly I can see this becoming a business. Make sure you make it a video, if you gain some traction doing it. That would be interesting.

I skate, and my vans are the only shoe I wear, so they were very dirty, they were a dark brown on the parts it shouldve been white, I got it as white as I could but still some brown bits, so if yours are as bad as mine where, use a rough sponge after using ur brush to get the dirt up easier. But overall this works amazing my shoes look like Ive only had them for a few weeks rather than having them for years without cleanings :D Edit: spelling errors.

I dont know if it's just me, but I kind of like the look of Vans when they're old or dirty 😂

I'm too scared to use laundry detergents on my vans, the same fabric will still react differently depending on the colour it has been dyed. My brother uses a can of spray foam that is made specifically for leather and canvas upholstery and shoe cleaning, it's quite cheap and works well. I'm not sure you'll find the exact same brand in America but surely you'll have similar products. Just look for upholstery cleaning products that's safe for dyed canvas and suede leather and you're good to go.

I tried this method but with a dish brush and tooth brush but same proses and they looked brand new

for the soles you can also use some hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. after that you can use some bleach which i only recommend if you have a lot of patience and white vans
