I usually get mine when they go on clearance. Target did this a lot with the Kirby series two months after it first came out - and I've gotten a few Clouds and Guardians this way too.

@@bimgus5808 I said "clearance" not sale - big difference there. Sometimes when new stock comes in, be it new amiibo or new other accessories, they dump old amiibo into the clearance section for cheap. But if they've been there forever? Nah, good luck with that. The Metroid Dread pair are still full price because there's not enough stock to dump them into clearance.

amiibo prices in hong kong retail are insane, i went shopping in sino center for games and saw amiibo selling for $100 hkd (12.75 usd) (it was pokemon trainer, pichu, and ivysaur, i think). most of them are below msrp, and the variety of amiibo is pretty good (i saw stuff like smash samus, callie and marie, kirby, bayo p1 and p2, cloud p1 and p2, and a lot more). most importantly, they are all in box, unopened if ur going to visit hong kong, make sure to go to game stores. there are old shopping malls dedicated to games, anime figures, and tech stuff i didnt pick up any amiibo up cuz i didnt bring a lot of money. i spent to money on a copy of xenoblade for $220 hkd (28 usd)

Could you eventually do a “Rate all Amiibo” video? I dunno if you have already, but with the list constantly updating, it would be cool. Also, it’d probably be better to wait until all Smash amiibo come out and we get a glimpse at the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom amiibo that will inevitably come out.

I don't collect much but I got very interested in Xenoblade recently and wanted to get the Shulk Amiibo. Was fortunate to go to PAX East this past year and got him for $20 at the event. Buying in-person is the way to go as you can see the product. It's very often used amiibo that are being sold online are often damaged.

2:11 not sure what your talking about here, I recently bought a Callie and Marie amiibo set from their re-release and haven’t had the heart to open them yet, but I can still use them just fine! Though I did see another comment talking about “older boxes” or something like that, maybe they used those in the re-release.

Funny thing about getting boxed amiibo, i bought a King Dedede amiibo this year for 20 bucks and i didn't even realize it was boxed untill after i bought it due to the relatively low price. I guess i just got really lucky on that purchase.

Where I live there is a shop that sells second hand amiibo for really cheap(other than joker) for really cheap. For instance the mii brawler is £12

I keep mine unboxed because I figure if they weren’t made to be used and displayed out of the box then why would the developers spend time programming them to do things in different games or make them so detailed and 3D so they can be viewed from all angles?

I'm pretty sure Cex will be the british used games shop. I live in the uk and the prices of their amiibo are almost always under £20 which is great whenever I feel like picking one up

I recenty got addicted to the Vinted app and found out it's a lot cheaper for me to buy Amiibo from Spain and France w/ shipping than to buy them in my own country (Netherlands). Prices are a lot lower on there. Been buying Amiibo like crazy for the last few weeks and picking them up for around 10 euro a piece (w/ shipping). Seeing the prices in this video, makes me believe Amiibo prices are much higher in the US than in Europe ... I might have just found a hole in the market lol.

lol I've been collecting these figures for well over 5 yaars but I've always had the mindset to get the ones I 'want' instead of the ones I 'need' because I'll usually pick those up later (or possibly never) but even some of the ones I 'want' are also pretty freaking expensive such as Samus and the Metroid or the BoTW Champions or The Squid Sisters set so on and so fourth.

They Squid Sisters got a reprint. They're still available at Best Buy and Nintendo's online stores in the US. Not sure about anywhere else

You CAN use them inside the box, previously they would put foil on the bottom but realized that new ones don’t have that. Just press in from the bottom. So I got a Lv 50 Joker in box…

I am a big collector on these things. I look primarily on eBay. I've scored some decent deals on some figures. Others have cost a good chunk of change and some I see better deals after I buy them. These aren't an obsession. Just a little hobby. I mainly collect Smash fighters. Six aren't but I have uses for them in other games. The cheapest I got was Ryu ($9.99 clearance at my GameStop), the most expensive one I got was unsurprisingly, Player 2 Corrin (just under $200). I prefer to get mine mint. Two words though: no regrets.

I think when he's talking about CEX when it comes to the UK store, I've bought almost all my amiibo their and the prices are really cheap, cheapest is like falco or villager for £6 and the most expensive is I think player 2 corrin for £89, from that store, and a little thx to eBay, I've got a nice sweet collection of 8 amiibo but would love to get more

I only get the Amiibos that I really like or are useful in games. I’ve only preordered figures when I know demand for the, will be high and I want them before the scalpers snatches them all up. This is how I got the Tears of the Kingdom, Sora, Banjo Kazooie, and Sephiroth figures on release day.

I mostly buy amiibo when they come out. It's alot tougher to buy them now as Gamestop has most of the exclusive ones.

Amazon Warehouse is a good place to get amiibo that are out of stock or imports that get imported. 5 below for some interesting for getting animal crossing Amiibo even got ryu and zero suit samus.

Oh, I see - Powersaves are rewriteable so they can be used to host any number of characters. Amiibo cards are stuck to the one character.
