You are right Markyvitch. None of these films or the concept of them moving into the future would be possible without Jayne's enormous production skill and hard work. She's mostly working in TV again these days but she's still involved. Over 99% of these films were shot by her and she deserves more credit.

"And don't worry if people laugh at you." That is a great (and accurate tip). For years it did worry me until I finally said to hell with it...the result was an immediate improvement in my photos. My family still chirps at me when I take group shots but it's all in fun. They know my results are pretty good.

Thank you - and yes please keep going. Most of the best photographers are the ones who are their own harshest critics. It's what drives us to be better than we are today. But don't be too harsh on yourself either. When you hear yourself saying "That's really quite dull and boring" take a reality check. Is it really that dull and boring? Or is it just not quite what you expected? Are you trying to reach the moon when so far you've only just climbed the stairs? - Mike

Thank you for sharing these very helpful videos. You clearly have a great eye for photography, and I appreciate that your videos are well-prepared, to the point, and encouraging instead of intimidating. The only problem is that, as I'm learning and trying to compose shots, I keep hearing in my head, "That's really quite dull and boring. That's just rubbish." But I'm going to keep practicing until I don't hear that anymore. =)

I quite like the composition of this pictures with the tree coming out of the hood of the car. From that point on, it was a bit boring.
@MikeBrowne10 жыл бұрын
Sorry ***** :-/
@JustinRedington10 жыл бұрын
Mike, the video was fantastic! My comment only related to the composition and perspective being taken after that specific point. I felt like the primary subject of the photo/video became diminished by attempting to move the tree away from the car. I've watched several of your videos and appreciate the straight forward way in which you demonstrate the concept you are presenting.

***** - one of the the cool things about photography is it's subjective - everyone likes what they like which means there's no right or wrong. There's only what the photographer intended to do.

Hi kevin! , Mike has videos that might help you, you can find it by clicking his name or click his name below this video,and it will redirect you to his channel,once you're there, you'll see a search box( search channel) and you may then type this keywords: "How To Use A Light Meter part 1 "and part 2" ( it divided to two vids) then you'll see thumbnails with title of videos,just look for the same title you put on the search box, :)
