A tree hugger karen would complain and call it underfed or too skinny lol. But that is an athletic sleek great looking dog.

You're right. I've had those conversations with them. Here in Cali there's tons of them. Usually their dogs look like stuffed sausages. Thanks for the comment. Much appreciated.

no one has ever said that about my current pup, and she's super lean. vet always seems happy, fwiw. don't care... better lean than fat.

Correct genetics are crucial but we must nurture them so that those genetics can truly shine, diet and exercise is key you can’t do one without the other if we expect them to do well at a show. I’m excited to see what he looks like when your done. Always enjoy your content brother.✊🏼

Genetics and care are #1.. At 5 year's old, my dog's are in their PRIME! I've got 10-11 year old APBT that still look & perform like a young athlete. 10-12 is usually when I start seeing that their getting "old" and slowing down a bit.. But, that's also when I know their time's coming within the next couple years.

My lab (one in the pfp) just turned eight and still going strong 💪! Still very playful and enjoys walks. Most Labradors by now really start to slow down by now some even start becoming very unhealthy. Good genetics, daily activity of some form, and a quality diet are (to me) are key with keeping a dog active in old age.

Zepher's looking great! Still full of vitality! Gettin' air like a BB player when he flirts . Logan's the same wrt spring pole, I'm gonna try your spring mod. Zeph is leaner than Logan, maybe slightly taller, so I'll guestimate 64 lbs. Keep it up, lookin' forward to his progress! 🦾

As always, very grateful for all the positive comments that you send our way. Thank you for watching our videos and supporting our channel. Do hope Logan is doing great. I will put out Zephyr's weight in a few weeks. Thanks again I appreciate it!! BTW, looks like Logan is very similar to Zephyr as far as being encouraged to work on things that move. Zephyr just doesn't dig anything that static and just sitting there. Keep up the great work with Logan 👍.

@@genuineapbt6690 I'm just soaking up your knowledge, so thank YOU! Logan's well, just lil difficult navigating physical activity cos it's crazy hot the entire day & night. As you, I've also opted to not push the shredded look, leaning to a more balanced & functional state, in fear that too much shred, with intense physical activity could impact kidneys. Yep, they're similar wrt static interaction, the only way I think I can get him to weight pull, is to have an animal in front of him as bait, but as far as I know, baits / lures aren't allowed in comps here. Zeph & the pack's in knowledgeable & caring hands, keep it up! 🦾

I appreciate your comments as always. Thank you for guessing, I'll let out his weight as the video gets a little older. Yeah, I was always tought to be helpful and open with MOST things when needed. Specially if it helps someone with a sick dog but some things are good to keep close.

What kind of rope to u use for flirtpole?? Thanks.. great video
@genuineapbt66903 жыл бұрын
I've had different types of flirt poles. Current one I purchased because it collapses and the rope part clips onto the end. I need that because I take it in a backpack to different workout locations. In the past I made one with a four and a half foot horse whip. And I just tied a bandana at the end. You can get these where they sell equestrian equipment. Sometimes they're only like 6 bucks. I've never made a video on how to make a flirt pole but there's many on KZfaq. Hope this helps. Thank you for the comment and for watching.
@jacondebil56373 жыл бұрын
@@genuineapbt6690 i made myself a flirtpole using a conventional rope inserted into a pbc pipe and a cowhide as bait. But its taxing to bring into different places.
@genuineapbt66903 жыл бұрын
@@jacondebil5637 Yeah, those work and it's nice to make some stuff yourself "sometimes" but it's not always practical. You just brought up a great point. My old one with the horse whip worked great and it was very light and quick. You could see that one in action in my flirt Pole video from about a year ago. This one works the same. It's very light and practical.
@jacondebil56373 жыл бұрын
@@genuineapbt6690 I've been looking for horse whip lately, can't find one or at least cheap ones. Flirtpole for me is one of the best condition tools for our dogs, high intensity, builds muscle, stamina and saves a lot of time.
A lot is in this video. It’s different for every dog though. Thanks for watching and commenting

This is prob a stupid question but can american ptibull terriers get a long with other dogs?
@genuineapbt66903 жыл бұрын
It's not a stupid question but it's not a simple yes or no answer. Most APBT are animal aggressive. They posses a high prey drive which makes them great for many uses and applications. I personally would not expect any APBT to get along with all dogs. Some are tolerant of dogs. Depends on the particular dog, but as a breed I would say most often they do not. This is why an American Pit Bull Terrier IS NOT!!! a dog for a first time dog owner. Hope this is helpful. Thank you for the question.
