This is a quick demonstration of how we recommend attaching various floatlines to any Headhunter Spearfishing Roller Polespears.

I was wondering if you can show how to rig your complete breakaway with the roller nomad.. do a lot of big broom tail and cubera in the Baja boulder reefs where gear gets destroyed

jimmy king we will have a video covering full breakaway in the next month or so. We also have some new rigging coming out before the summer that will be aimed at full breakaway on the polespear. We actually just spent the last few days going after and landing wahoo with some new rigs and learning what works and what doesn’t.

Are your power bands cored with a strength member?

mauifish13 they are not. We use a 1/16 ID band and there isn’t room for a core. The setups we show here are for using a float line to keep from losing your polespear and to help you fight small to medium sized fish and fish on a reef. We have another video coming out that dives into rigging for big fish, especially Pelagics like tuna and wahoo.

The Headhunter Spearfishing Co. thanks for the reply. I use my predator for off shore and it’s has certainly gone for a few rides. Got to have that back up structure.
