I’m not a spearo but it doesn’t seem right. First the distance with power and slack is understood. But two things, first the standard you’re stretching shorter bands vs the longer and easier to stretch bands on the roller. I wonder about the power determined by how stretched out the bands are that creates power.

No Joke, My biggest about 75 Lbs, Hunted for several at about 90 Lbs,. And once aproached a 5 Ft long Snapper but not a Cubera, that one was well over 120 lbs

I would love to see an indoor series of these instructional videos with good lighting and better camera angles so we can see the details better. 😉 these are ok, but an outdoor setting for this kind of video really makes it difficult to see doesn't do your explanation justice.

With the back up option, the o ring right on the injector rod, does that o ring hold up after shooting a fish? It seems like the o ring would break as soon as the fish pulls?

No, the oring holds up. The cable doesnt pull on it, it slides along the oring.

FYI you need to use the rubber band with the cable slip tip. The tip will continually fall off if you don’t. It is a great set up!

Why does the rubber band have to be so far from the tip? Why not just rig it to the injector rod? This seems overly complicated for such an easy problem to solve.

There are other ways to solve this problem. I find that this system allows for a band to have very light pressure on the tip. Just enough. Also, i like to have a lot of extra cable so you can penetrate large fish.

No it doesnt. It needs to be weighed on dry land for a PHOTO of the scale to be used, but video can be used if you are at sea. But with video the LOWEST WEIGHT that shows during the video will be used. We successfully submitted 10 world records during this 21 day trip, all filmed while on a ship.

Are the roller and standard polespear butts interchangeable? I was gifted a standard but I kind of want the benefits of the roller.
