Have you heard the interesting English expression I shared at 09:04?? “either either” (pronounced EE-ther AI-ther) Can you think of a situation where you could use this expression?

The pronunciation "eether" is not what I had learnt at school in Australia. Sounds more American to me.

Nope, I haven't yet, thanks dear cute Emma a lot for your captivating work!❤👍 Could you please clarify me this one. If I've got a typical US speech accent, I can say it as *_AI-ther_* *_AI-ther?_* Or not? How would it be for the US pronouncing?
@magmalin
@magmalin Жыл бұрын
@@davesmith6436 Well, I grew up and went to school in Australia. It was always AI-ther in those days. Nobody ever pronounced it "eether". Here in Germany I used to work for the Americans and never heard any of them use AI-ther. It was always "eether". But as Emma said, you can use both, every native speaker will understand you.

Hello Emma, a hilarious and optimistic teacher. This video is pretty beneficial. Your idea about comparison casual and professinal context is perfect. However, linking words are sometimes neglected by us. I need to practise them as much as possible. An imaginary situation for an expression "Either either"/ After 2 shopping hours when your husband is knackered and you ask what kind of dress to choose for purchasing, (eiher blue it matches with the colour of your eyes or white)he replies "either either".He is too tired to think proper way.His only wish to do home. I like all English teachers on line, but the way you teach, it attracts me the most, because it's original and vigorous. I like to improve my spoken English, as well as written English. Portugal is an interesting country, as well as the cheapest one to visit in Europe. As a result of passing my exams ,to my surprise ,I was reworded to visit to Portugal. Where as I rather wanted to visit to an English spoken country. It didn't matter to to me, either you come to us or I'll come to you. As a result of my failure in English Exam, I was severely reprimanded, whereas my smart sister was generously reworded.
