Unfortunately there is no display out for SPD 30. However you can adjust the brightness/contrast and see if that helps.

I think you were asking about importing custom samples to SPD30 through iPad. If that is the case, it is not possible. You can only play with the sounds that came with SPD 30. Let me know more details on what you were looking for.

Yes, you should be able to similar steps in SPD 20. Check the manual for settings. Since I don’t have SPD 20, I will not be able to help you with exact steps.
