If you're using PoE, why not use the network to control them as well??? The RS-232 is another wire that's totally unneeded.
@MonteWeaverofficial

Yes you can do that. Meaning different setups types. These videos are demos, not the only way to do it.

You dont explain where the poe cables are going to....one end to the back of the camera but the other end goes where???
@MonteWeaverofficial
@MonteWeaverofficial 5 ай бұрын
I don’t explain it because the only place an Ethernet cable would go is onto a poe switch, plus I’ve mentioned that in multiple videos and livestreams. Can’t say everything in every video.

Thanks for the setup video, can you do a video on how to setup zone pattern and recall, auto pan from zone a to zone b with speed control or time control, thanks

@@MonteWeaverofficial I saw the easy presets 123 video 3wk ago, am talking about to set zone patrol from presets 1 to 2 just as you can manually pan and zoom the camera from one point or presets 1 to second position or presets 2 , thanks 😊

Where are the Ethernet cables plugged into that provides the power?
@MonteWeaverofficial
@MonteWeaverofficial 7 ай бұрын
The actual network switch … a POE switch provides power through the Ethernet connection

If I have 2 ptz cameras with just the serial input with no output how do i daisy chain them?
@MonteWeaverofficial
@MonteWeaverofficial 7 ай бұрын
At least on of the PTZ cameras needs to have an input AND output port. (RS232) - If your cameras only have input serial ports, you’ll need to replace your cameras!
@PoxyBear
@PoxyBear 10 ай бұрын
The easiest way to do this is connecting EVERYTHING including the controller to a network switch using Cat5e and above ethernet cable.

What PTZ camera would you recommend for live streaming table-rounds and webinars? Does it makes sense to go for a 4K camera? Last question: do you have any experience with the new RGBLink Vue camera?
@MonteWeaverofficial
@MonteWeaverofficial Жыл бұрын
My answer is the best PTZ for the use case. Without knowing a budget, infrastructure to support 4K, setup such as serial or NDI .. if difficult to provide an answer to that question. I have not used the RGBLink Vue camera. Hopefully each video I upload gets that all important "thumbs up" button and more viewers actually click "SUBSCRIBE" I can have more manufacturers such as RGBLink provide equipment along with the financial compensation that would allow me the time to test, record, edit and provide more videos on KZfaq.

@@MonteWeaverofficial budget it's about 2k dollars per camera. We'll still have to built a desktop rig so we can built that with 4k support. We're looking into NDI but I have yet to figure out weither this would work good in mobile set-up within a company network. So probally a cam with multi output is the best.

I haven’t used any 4K PTZ cameras, I would like too, that would definitely max out your budget. One reason I personally haven’t gone 4K PTZ cameras yet is because my ATEM limits to 1080p Budget PTZ … AVKANS, PTZ Optics, BZB Gear have all been NDI PTZ cameras (1080p) that work well for me.

I have a question. I never used PTZ cameras and I'm interested in the idea of using them to record various live preachers on stage which may be at times energetic and move around the stage a lot. The idea is to have 3 or more cams so I can switch between them. The question is, how does one prepare the next shot correctly if a camera is currently already being moved around using the joystick? I'm used to having people behind the cams who would do that for me but this is the only thing I don't understand with PTZs.

Great question and definitely worthy of a video to better understand. The best way in my opinion is to have a video switcher that allows for preview and program such as the ATEM Mini Pro Extreme - amzn.to/3LlML9H - The PREVIEW side will allow you to see all the inputs. Because you're able to see all the inputs; you can setup your next video shot without the camera movements being seen to the LIVE audience. Once you've set the next preview shot and visually see it on your PREVIEW side in the correct position, then you can cut to your camera shot because its ready to go.

There’s is only 1 Ethernet connection - there is only place to connect so you’ll be able to see it with your cable when you look to connect it on your camera.
