Happy New Calendar Year Chad! Thank you for sharing these great tips! And one of the things I greatly appreciate in your videos is how you weave in stories. For me it provides a much richer texture for the learning and curiosity!

Thanks for noticing. I'm trying to be really intentional about weaving stories throughout more often. Filming a new set of videos tomorrow and their chock full of stories 🙂

I'll share one specific thought (among many), and that is regarding the question "What is one of the strangest foods you've ever tried?" Of course, this brings to mind the birthday trip you and I took to the randomly-selected Ugandan restaurant and being served everything from unadorned tripe to gelatinized ox hoof. Fun memory. But in this moment, what I'm "noticing" about that memory is HOW we wound up with that particular food. The fact was that we had set the menus aside and asked our wonderful Ugandan server (and, by proxy, his wonderful Ugandan mom, the only cook) to serve us "two different plates of anything that you yourself love and would eat every day if you could." So our "strangest foods" were someone else's favorite and quite common "comfort foods." Perspective is a wonderful thing.

Great thinking about the "why" questions. I've always shared during training that "why' questions put distance between you and the other person as they generally don't create trust or build relationships if those are your goals. Great video series, by the way. I look forward to the weekly updates. Thank you!

Chad! Love the content on making connections! I've applied these techniques in social situations at local Cafes, restaurants... to get into the habit of being present, as well as developing that mindset of being curious and "be interested not interesting" as you may say! Also, Just finished your new book Virtual Engagement! Amazing content! Love how you can connect back to a video to reinforce the topics! Highly recommend the book to anyone interested in improving their virtual events! As always, stay curious! Robinson
