Ultimately, Emotional Eating is misplaced worship.
When we eat our emotions instead of turning to God with them, we are letting food become an idol in our lives. God doesn't want to deprive you of the foods you enjoy. He wants to show you how to enjoy them in freedom & how to live abundantly in the foods that He created.
He also wants to be the place you run to when you've had a hard day because, let's face it, emotional eating never leaves you feeling better but instead piles on guilt & shame. God takes all of that away.
