Nice wouldn't of have thought of that myself. Believe it or not I was trying to dimension a hex head (not even a bolt size) based on the distance across the flats, couldn't figure it out with a CAD software. Thanks a lot.

Hi there. The thread is indicated by the two lines going down the side of the bolt shaft. It is the 0.1 times the M value that gives you the thread depth.
