Very useful video. All I needed to know was what individual piece was called. From there, just use your imagination.

Looking to use some fascia board i've got on a little utility room we have at the back of the house. Just so it matches the rest, and gives some for the gutter to secure to. Just one single piece, no corners etc. Can you just get and end cap for them, make it look neater and so the ends aren't exposed.

Too many pins ....

We do agree, this model had to be made this way to hold it in place but in reality you would minimise the use of pins and use superglue on the trims (one side only).

@@PBSLGroup Thanks for your reply - actually - having just replaced all my fasica, soffit and barge boards - I found - using my own skill and imagination - constructing the "box end" very simple. I'm not sure why you've mentioned "please browse through our videos .. ." ? I'm simply referring to this particular video on "box end" construction - which probably is the most complex and time consuming ( requiring accurate measurements etc) part of Upvc replacement etc It is a classic case of "easy when you know how" - which augments my point above - that - had you shown the actual process of construction "piece by piece" - it would have been far easier to understand - rather than just showing what is in effect a "still image" of the completed job - and just "stating" what the individual components are

Very useful and concise overview of a box end construction. Eric I think you need the 'box ends for bell ends' video series.

@@murraylonsdale3069 - Thank you for your polite comment . As it happens - I have completely -re-cladded my property to a very high standard - and I worked out for myself how to construct box ends .... and several other issues along the way. Like anything - it looks easy when you know how. Finally - Keep your downright RUDE and nasty comments to yourself. If you CANNOT say anything nice - dont say anything at all ... I guess you - being the most clever person in the world ... has never found anything difficult... Go to the top of the class .... well done.. .
