Love your videos. I like how you are teaching how to CONTROL light, not just showing a simple setup with no explanation as to the decisions you made in regards to light. Just followed you on Instagram too! Thanks Again!

I think what I gather from your videos (correct me if I’m wrong) if I want to achieve hard shadows but have bright light and mimic sunlight, I should get a flash?

Nice video...Have a question...why your fill light is facing towards ceiling?
@figandlight
@figandlight 4 жыл бұрын
thanks! I faced it towards the ceiling to have that light bounce back into the scene from the top down.

don’t you mind the light orange fill cause the walls? or that room is only for tutorial purpose?
@figandlight

I made a video about this very issue actually lol Well, I used to in the past, but I've learned to work around it. And plus, it is for tutorial purposes only. Hopefully, I can plan to make arrangements to paint it more neutral soon. Thanks for the comment 🙏

Damn you're like the photographer version of Matt d'avella. Just one question tho, what do you call those boards to change the material of your table? Sorry my english isn't that good but I hope you know what I mean.
@figandlight
@figandlight 4 жыл бұрын
Never thought I would be compared to Matt D'Avella hahah well, thank you! The boards are standard foam boards that I got from my local art store. The brand is called Elmers. Thanks for watching!

I am so confused.... Love your videos...Your great but PLZ Summarize the points at the end of your vidoes more clearly..so I know what the point was and what is actually working. Thank you so much.

Would you like to make a video about your backdrops ? Did you create them by yourself?
@figandlight
@figandlight 4 жыл бұрын
The different colored ones are just colored foam boards I bought from my local art store. The wooden ones I bought from a company called Erickson Surfaces who make custom food photography surfaces. A lot of people are asking me to make a video about making surfaces, and I haven't decided yet if I should tackle that task. Thank you for the suggestion though!

You spent loads of money on a profoto b1, a thousand on a glorified speedlight, and a magbox, and a light meter costs a lot of money.? That's a rofl from me! Good channel though!
@figandlight
@figandlight 4 жыл бұрын
yeah man, after all that, there was nothing left to spend on a light meter! haha thanks for watching!
