Preparing for zombie apocalypse? I show HOW TO CONTROL GARDEN INSECTS and HOW TO MAKE ORGANIC INSECTICIDE or CHEAP ORGANIC PESTICIDE to defend your prepared food garden with a garden insect killer with one of the many orange oil uses in a homemade organic pest control recipe. Easy organic gardening should be fast, efficient, effective, and not be costly and this squash bug killer spray should meet your needs so you have more time for other chores without worrying about losing your homestead food supply to an infestation of stink bugs, squash bugs, cucumber beetles, and other garden pests. It has been the best way to protect the garden vegetables for me thus far and it's made with very multi purpose ingredients that go a long way. So I highly recommend stocking up these essential items as part of your food preparation plan for this easy pesticide organic recipe.
For the harder insects I recommend the following:
To 1 (one) Gallon of water add;
5 Tablespoons Cold Pressed Orange Oil
1 Tablespoon Blackstrap Molasses
2 Tablespoons Pure Castile Soap
1 Cup Organic Compost Tea / Natural Liquid Fertilizer
May all your branches become full of fruit.

Adding black strap molasses to your garden is good for it. It feeds all the microbes in your soil. If you’re applying any kind of organic fertilizer, sugar will give your existing microbes the food they need to get them moving so that they’ll start breaking down that new fertilizer, making it available for plants.

The molasses will do two things - it will feed the probiotics in your compost tea/organic fertilizer and release release the nutrients in the molasses to make the bioavailable - i.e., it won't be sugar for long but, rather, just the nutrients that are released from it and probably increases the population of specific, "bug-killer" probiotics. If you're afraid of the sugar, just let it sit and ferment a bit before you use it. Also - if you want a SUPER simple shield to control spraying? One of those "pop up" baby sun shades for cars, covered with a piece of cotton, like a piece of an old t-shirt or jeans or something. You can add a loop and twist/fold it up and hang it off your belt, whip it out, flip it open and hold it behind what you're spraying to protect whatever's behind it, whether it's another plant or the side of the house or a white-washed fence or whatever. And the pop-ups usually come 4 to a package and run 5 to 10 bucks, so you can use different colored t-shirts for the different sprays so you don't get some sort of frankenstein mixture soaked into one shield. Just use the color you've designated for whatever you're spraying. When they get ratty, take off the fabric and bury them in your "long-haul" compost pile and replace it with a "new" piece of fabric. Also great for misting houseplants. [I have my houseplant shield covered with a chamois which will last forever as I only mist the foliage with water - then just hang it up to dry] Also, standard spray nozzles - like high quality professional nozzles - usually come pretty cheap, 6 to a pack, with the hoses and not only fit pop bottles but also isopropyl alcohol AND the dark brown, non-reactive, hydrogen peroxide bottles. Tubes are perfect length for the bigger quart-size bottles. The nozzles are pretty standard and would probably fit just about any standard neck bottle.

I think the effect he is speaking about in reference to mixing orange oil and Castile soap is emulsification. The soap helps the oil mix with the water and the other ingredients instead of just rising to the top of the mixture.

I just mixed up a batch last night and tested it on slugs, cabbage worms and flea beetles. It took them out so fast! An amazing concoction! Thank you so much for sharing! I also experimented drenching a dock leaf and where the liquid collected it did burn the leaf a bit. But I drenched it. I may cut back a bit on the orange oil. Either way...amazing!

This video came just in time as I'd found out about Orange oil for fire ants and my bottles of two brands of orange oil arrived the other day and I've not yet used them. Now I know how to mix them with other ingredients to mitigate damage to plants with bug issues I might spray with it. Thanks! BTW, an easier way to figure the rough cost if you are going to use 12 quart bottles of your "pesticide" solution, is to see it is the same as 3 gallons which would require 6 ounces of Orange Oil or less than 1/5 quart of the oil which if using the expensive brand would be around $6 worth of orange oil used to make one years supply.

Besides that, you cracked me up with the Dr. Castile soap comment. I was just thinking that the other day when I found a bottle of Dr. Jacobs, lol. I thought I mentioned it in the vid but anyway.....since we are taking our time trying to control insects on the plants that MIGHT cause some sort of stress to the plants then as I understand it we are using that same time to give a little extra food / nutritional snack to the plants through the foliage feeding process. Something like that anyway.

Do you find it hurting the earth worms? For instance the liquid that runs off the leaves into the dirt. Or when you wash it off the plant after a few days. We have crazy amounts of squash beetles on our pumpkin and squash plants. We don’t use pesticides or any sprays like that. It’s so over used in our area that you find pesticides in our tapwater. My wife has been taking a very small hand torch to burn them. It only takes a second and they pop. Gives her a little satisfaction in the battle against them. But very time consuming. I can see squirting them to be a better way. Anyways... just curious about the worms if you find a reduction in their numbers. Thanks!

I wonder if the orange oil and soap works like a replacement for JWA from JADAM they do seem to simulate the same function.

Ok, just got the Jadam book. There seems to be a contradiction. They say don’t use brown sugar or molasses because it will acidify the soil but I watched many videos even Chris Trump and they add a ton of brown sugar into IMO. Which is sprayed on the soil at different dilutions for foliar spray. Do you have an explanation for that?
@3basketliving
@3basketliving 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah..... that is one of the differences between the KNF and JADAM approach. Notice that daddy Cho is the man behind KNF and sonny Cho is the one behind JADAM. I think the rest is up to you and what methods to employ between the 2.

@@3basketliving I am right there with you my friend!! I LOVE the JADAM method and use the JMS and JLF (liquid fertilizers) however, I have not made the JADAM Sulfer, Wetting agent or any of the pesticides. The volumes he uses are way to much for my small homestead and I am concerned that the chemical reactions (which appear critical to success) might be off if I reduce the ingredients without understanding the chemistry. I have considered contacting Mr Cho to see if he could verify that it is okay to reduce the ratios or if the recipes need to be modified to create maybe 10 gallons at a time. Keep up the great work!!
