Hi, Try the connection code option. If you don’t have the option to choose between the QR code or connection code to link your UKVI Account then there is something wrong with your UK immigration ID check app. Start afresh by closing the app and reopening it.

@@opeyemihassan3652 Thank you for the compliment. It is comments like this that keep me going on. This is a tough one. I would suggest that you follow the government’s instructions. If they sent you an email then they want you to convert the BRP to an eVisa. I think that your immigration details will be linked to your biodata online and you don’t need the details on your BRP card as all your visa details will be on their immigration system which can be accessed in any border. Your landlord and employer can have access to it once you give them a share code. This is so important. Unfortunately I don’t have an answer for this. I don’t see any problem with this. I used my app to help a friend although not the same email and mobile number. I don’t think it should cause any problem. You can all the government to find out if you are in doubt. Kindly let me know whether it worked out. It will help other families. All the best!

Thanks for answering, I have contacted official Eu resolution centre and they said"as a EU family member, we do Not need to do anything because when we were granted a Pre settled status as a family member of EU citizen, our account UKVI was already created by HOME OFFICE so everybody can check and update his documents (passport or national id card of our origin country) means"we can travel from January 2025 to UK or from UK without any UK issued document...that's what I understand

Use a light source that shines directly on it without casting any shadows. Try to keep your hand steady and ensure that the phone is not placed at an angle above the BRP. The picture part was easy for me, it was the scanning that took a while. Kindly let me know how you resolved it. All the best.

@@cynthiaacademy Thank you so much for replying. I don't have a mega steady hand but tried my best to keep it steady. It's odd sometimes it fails almost instantly and others it searches for a good while and then fails. I wonder if one can only do it once one has received an email from them. I'm pretty sure I haven't yet. I shall try a few more times and then give up and go to a centre where they can sort it. Thanks again
