How to Cook Bicol Express Recipe - popular Filipino Dish yet so simple and very easy to cook. It is made with pork, coconut milk, lots of chilis, spices and sauteed with Filipino shrimp paste. We love this version, hope you'll love it too. Bon appetit. All ingredients are optional, modify as per your liking. Take everything in moderation. "Health is Wealth".
How to Cook Bicol Express Recipe
Ingredients:
Saute/ Simmer
350 grams - pork belly
350 grams - pork collar
1/2 cup - water
2 tbsp - ginger
2 tbsp - garlic
1/2 cup - shallots
1/4 cup - red long chili
2 tbsp - spicy chilis
2 tbsp - shrimp paste/ bagoong alamang
1 tsp - chicken powder
400 ml - coconut milk
1 cup - green long chilis
3pcs - spicy chilis for garnish
Cooking Time: approximately 1 hour
Serving: 2+ people

Ive used this recipe 3 times now and every single time it is more sarap. Thank you Po P.S I cooked this when visiting my wifes family in Tuguegarao and they said it was marsarap and better than other Bicol Express that they have tried :)

This looks so delish, Madam. Btw, first time to see na may pulang sili sa bicol express (un unang nilagay nio po). Been tried cooking some of your previously uploaded videos and it's a hit sa amin lalo kay hubby, Halos ganto din po ang gawa ko sa bicol express sa amin except no red sili, less labuyo (to lessen the hot/spicy as we have senior citizens at home) and I added string beans para may iba pa veggies. Next time, will try this version of yours po.
