Thank you from a Samoan in Texas with a craving. I found my NZ pusipo and some taro at a local Korean grocery store. Wish me luck.

Your peeling & can-opening skills are admirable 👍🔪. We grew up with peeling with a knife. At the time I thought it was annoying but I appreciate it now that I'm older

Your knife skills are unmatched, indeed. This is the most knife video on KZfaq. Your mother would be proud.

Bula! Why not save up for a holiday to your land of origin, and pay them a visit! I was born in Fiji. My family immigrated to Canada when I was 8. If you have the islands in your blood, you'll never lose it! I've been back several times, for extended visits. I LOVE visiting the outer islands and villages. I visit a new location every time I go. Do it! Your life will expand a hundredfold! ✌✌🥰🥰

Not bad except I’d drain all the water. Then stir a tablespoon of corn starch in 1 cup of water, add it to a simmering pot of coconut cream, finely chop the onions and season with some salt. And pour it all over the taro. You’re welcome :)

Great info thank you. And one thing to remember that by using a knife to cut slits or to open your metal cans is dangerously unhealthy. If you examine closely you will notice sharpnal and fragments of metal.
