I've been doing it by going all the way upfront, but my back was aching during the entire exercise. Plus I had some pain in my hips. I've tried this method in the video instead and the difference was MASSIVE! Thanks for the tip!

First time doing sit-ups in a long time. Thank you so much. The lower back pain when working out felt like I was gonna pull or break something. This is why you research to see if you have good form when exercising.

I wasnt sure I was doing it right at the gym because people were staring at me. Thankfully I was It was just that I was doing 2 sets of 100 , years of boxing and strong core I guess. I see all guys lifting heavy weights but none doing core work, which is so important for a boxer.

This is not the old school decline bench on ladder. Tilted knees and fixed legs and feet - change the whole dynamics of this exercise. Which was originally performed with almost straight legs. With only a strap fixing on the instep. You teach a different approach to a bad bench. But if you bring this bench close to a ladder. So you cound hold the ladder braches with the hands performing incline leg raises. A much better and harder exercise !!!!!

This is CORRECT. A regular decline sit-up going all the way up and down is the WORST thing possible for your lower spine and it's only a static exercise for your abs, so it's garbage

Since I'm not a doctor, I can't say if you are right or not, but, seems like you probably are. Though I wouldn't call what you recommend a "sit-up". I would call it a crunch. In other words, you are basically saying actual situps are bad and crunches are good.

He's saying it's damaging to use your hip flexors to pull yourself up.
