Is there any way to change the thickness of the coils?
@3DElectroTech3 жыл бұрын
Yes Neil, you can, Just go to edit mode by clicking tab and then click "S" for Scaling and move the mouse to scale to your desired thickness.

how do you do that whenever i try it just turns into a really twisted shape not like a coil

Cheddar's, you may have to use different axis in the screw modifier. X , Y or Z
@dragoniccrab4 ай бұрын
@Electro3DTech Im having the same issue, and changing the axis' either just flips it(y) or makes it a cylinder(z)

@@dragoniccrab you moved the circle in Object mode, not Edit mode - you need to move the circle in Edit mode away from the Origin

How to change the diameter of the circle without affecting the diameter of the screw?
@3DElectroTech2 жыл бұрын
Make sure you are in "Edit Mode" and Press "A" to select all and then Press "S" to scale the small circle. That's it :)

@@3DElectroTech Cool, thanks... Btw how to put specific number instead of dragging? And also, last question, how to change scale unit in object properties to mm or cm instead of the default decimal 1.0? Thanks in advance... :)
@3DElectroTech2 жыл бұрын
@@cocopandan 1- To put specific number "Just type the number after pressing 'S' to scale". 2- To change Units "In the Right Lower section, you will see an icon named 'Scene Properties', inside it you will find 'Units', Change 'Length' from 'Meters' to cm or mm". I hope this helps!
