Thanks for your wonderful video. I have a question. I live in Taiwan, and I would like to know how to create my Social Security account. I understand that the system does not allow foreign addresses to be entered. Could you please tell me how to create my account using a Taiwan address? Thank you in advance, and have a wonderful day.

Please call the Social Security Administration and set up an account with an agent via a phone appointment. 800-772-1213

Hi, hope You're doing well. I registered my social security account but it states that in order to complete my registration, I need to input an activation code. They will send me the code via mail within 5-10 business days. But it's already the 10th day since my registration, and I haven't receive any, Kind of worried. And also how did you get the code via text message or online? I didn't see these options. Or maybe I missed something? -Thanks

This process just give you a log in to access your online account. Now that you have an account you need to go to www.ssa.gov/apply and apply for benefits.

There wasn't an option on how I wanted to receive the activation code, but instead it is being mailed to me.

When it ask you if you got an activation code you can click "No" and I will allow you to proceed in most cases. If not you may have to visit your local social security office to get access.

You can request a new social security card by creating and logging into your ssa.gov account. Once logging in click "Replace your Social Security Card" and follow the process.

Now u expect me to remember all that shit. Does anyone in the gov. Realize that 40% of citizens over 70 have memory issues. No wonder senator never retire, it's because they can't figure out how to get signed up .

Do you have a different name on your Social Security card? Like a maiden name or a hyphenated name? It is not very common for information to not match what the Social Security Administration has on file.
