I think most of it looks beautiful except those tiles, to me they look like something i've seen in many a public toilet...I'm also surprised they didn't put any lights up, lanterns etc to bring more light in, and a screen for privacy and I would have brought a small cosy sofa and an outdoor rug

The end design was nice, a big improvement, but I disliked those wall tiles.

I like it. They just need a skylight to get some sun into the area. This is Melbourne. With all the trees around it will always be dark, but a long skylight will do wonders to lighten the area.

I like mostly everything except the blue and white tile it looks horrible.

I agree that tiling the back wall was a poor choice -- perhaps a simple fresh whited painted brick would have worked better -- then add a tall, thin and long table with a tiled top for a prep area for the outdoor cooking ..... and perhaps add a shelf or even a cupboard for storing outdoor entertaining items .... this new table could have been made to match the A/C cover .....

I actually like the tiled back it looks good because everything is like neutral and it adds a pop of color

The tiles need to go. Absolutely. 1. I'd keep the brick wall and hang a big frame with a landscape painting, with a lamp above to draw the eye to the painting. Or just add a hanging plant in the middle of the frame. Then add some wall lamps on either side to add atmosphere. 2. Otherwise I'd cover the brick with vertical wood slats, either painted a neutral colour, gray or varnished for a more natural look. I'd bring in a hanging plant or two again in front of it (to bring the garden into the space to tie the two together). And add lighting to make it more cozy. They definitely need something on that wall - they need a talking point. The table and chairs in the centre take up all the space. It's such a great space. Add wood box chair around the edge of the space (like they do in their other videos). The space needs to be softened. Maybe before guests arrive, they can hang a soft gauze white curtain on the side garden's side, right up against the wall. Maybe add another one on the other side as well, and tie both back. That'll create a frame for the side garden. The ideas and possibilities are literally endless. No idea why they went with the bathroom look.

Interesting and looks better. But why not take the blueboard down tile and all? If its a problem with the red brick and the area doesn't get any sunlight, why not just hang a mirror to reflect light? Or put up something tropical and pretty like a framed bamboo fence. Hang some battery or solar powered led lights, or lanterns. Or just a really cool outdoor ready painting.

Blue tiles don't go with anything esp with grey touches. Rough sawn timber horizontally laid so you can hang plants or decorative metal/other art on there. Tiled wall only would work with a full length bbq as easy to clean. Also a big space needs a decent size table and chairs for entertaining.

Not my favorite look. The tile wall looks like an old wall at an abandoned motel pool area. If you don’t like the color of brick, paint it! Far less work and money with far better results. However, the cover for the a/c unit was beautiful! Brilliant idea!

Need a large work top space next to the grill for prep and for buffet style food for gatherings. Move the miniscule drink table elsewhere. Also, drop the legs a bit for the ac cover so it conceals it completely. I would've kept the original brick wall...goes better with the architecture. The ceramic tile makes it look like a bathroom wall.

They should have used horizontal hard wood instead of the white tile. The bluestone floor, in my opinion, is super nice and modern -- the 60's wall takes away from it.

I usually love the designs they do but this one was very off! The white and blue tiles looked so out of place and even the furniture and bbq looked very impractical. They could have done a lot better given the space they had. In saying that, the garden looked great and the grey paint on the house worked very well.

It would be nice if they stated the costs for the materials and the total cost of the project. Like others, I am not keen on the tile. I would also like to see some soft seating for lounging not just dining.

It evokes the Palm Springs look, but it is concrete and gravel against loud colors. I’m not sure it’s worth the expense to tile since paint is cheaper. Love your plant selection. Weird to see how you’re willing to put this style in Australia.

The tile wall is an eyesore. :( I love the colors though, so it would have been better, I think if it's painted instead. Or they could've painted the brick wall white to give an illusion of subway tiles (if the want the tiles effect).

I think if the blue tiles had been staggered at the top it would have added a little interest to that wall.

Bad spot to put table and chairs infront of condensor unit. In summer it will blow hot air out, in winter it will blow cold air (if unit is heat pump) toward who ever sit in front of it.
