You know, anyone would have just stained or painted it white, like me, but with your talent, I knew you would elevate it to a higher level of uniqueness and character. The star background was genius, adding depth and helps tell a story. With all the bare parts, wood, paint, crackle, etc, you created a one of a kind ornament that goes far beyond ordinary! It’s the “ I’ve never seen anything like that before” ornament. That bow maker, so simplistic and quick to use, is so helpful and easy for newbies. Great work and super teaching! You’ve the patience of a saint!

@@masoncreationsetc tinting the crackle paint..see what I mean? You push the boundaries all the time. Great idea. I have the EZ bow maker and I made one based on another companies model with a lot of dowels in an arc, can’t remember their name. They help a lot, easier than using your hands. Dave’s Wreaths and Things does great bows, he’s a great teacher too.

My middle name is "push some boundaries" 🤣🤣🤣 I tried the bow maker with all the dowels. I like the other one a little bit better. I've never seen his channel, I'll have to check it out. Thanks!

What kind of resin? What are you going to do with it? Put things in it so you can see them through the resin? I just got some casting resin that's similar to clay but in liquid form, that I'm anxious to try. I'll check out Decoupagenapkins and see if they have some resins. I'd trust anything they have.

this turned out nice, but IMO the bow is too big. Do you think adding a drop of reinker would work insteaad of food coloring? or would that not give that transparency?

Hi Kathy, Thanks I'm glad you like it. And unfortunately I agree with you on the bow. After I glued it on, I was like, what the heck were you thinking. But I just went with it. lol... I'm not sure if the reinker would work or not. The food color is super transparent and not sure if the ink would be. If you have any on hand, give it a try and let me know if it works.
