I know this is gonna sound dramatic, but this video might be the best instructional video I've ever seen and definitely changed my entire crochet game, if not my life. I got so excited I ran and showed this video to my husband, who knows nothing about crochet but now knows how to do this because that's how clear and simple your instructions are. Thank you so much for helping me find the missing piece to finish my kids baby blanket...hopefully while he's still young enough to use it.

Definitely going to make a winter jacket using that stitch , never seen it before and have been crocheting since I was 10yrs old am now 61 so looks like you can teach an old dog new tricks lol 😊👍👍👍🌹

I recently purchased a dutch oven and realized by ordinary potholders is not enough to protect from the heat of the pot. I think this may work for the hot dutch oven. Thank you for the pattern and excellent video.

Even a more thermal shawl or scarf for heavy winters would be nice. If you’re into clothing, mittens or even that thermal underwear stuff would be fantastic. It’s supposed to be a real cold winter this year.

I used this stitch to make a bathroom rug so we don't slip when we get out of the shower. I used 2 strands of all cotton worsted weight yarn and it worked beautifully.

Great stitch! I'm going to make the potholder associated with it in your blog and on KZfaq! I've been looking for a really thick potholder/hot pad to make for my son and this stitch will be perfect! The foundation chain can be made larger by using any number of chains +1 for turning, am I correct? I may need to make my hot pad larger. Thank you so much!

I actually thought certain stitches were used for a particular project but now you just broaden the possibilities!! She passed away and I wasn't able to be there. She was a crochet machine!!! Keep working the thermal stitch on every row beyond - only the setup row is BLO sc :) So you'll get the same look on both sides!

To all those who felt the speed was too fast in this video, you can click on the 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner of the video screen and a drop-down box will appear. One of the choices there is 'Playback Speed'. Click on that option and choose a slower speed for playback. When you're finished watching the video in slow-motion, repeat the process, choose 'Normal Speed', and all future videos will play back normally. This is a tip I saw some time ago, and it's really helpful to use any time a slower playback speed would help to understand an unfamiliar stitch, the placement of the hook, etc. Hope this helps. It's really helped me. 🙂

People, we have the ability to slow down the play. You an also pause and rewind as many times as you need to. Her tutorials are SO MUCH better than aot if others. Let's not discourage a good thing.
