When you choose crop in the drop down menu you can choose crop to shape and then choose which shape you want. It's way too easier.

Yes and No. With your way, there are still Square white spots around the cycle. With his way, I can Paste it as a cycle image everywhere....

I follow every step but my shape fills with tile rather than my image despite trying from step one again. Why does this keep happening?

Clear your clipboard, it might have some data that you have selected before.

Reduce the size of the photo and increase the size of the shape and follow the tutorial.
