Also you can use... Shape Crop under the Crop section...there you can crop a picture by choosing a shape and then you just have to adjust in a right place 👍

Sure Nirmal, we've discussed more methods in our other video on 5 ways to crop pictures. You could also just use the shape as a guide to crop the image using shape intersect option. Putting picture into shape allows you to create templates with animation. Thus, by changing the image, you don't end up losing the animation.

May I ask if you can tell me how to rotate the image within the shape? We used to be able to do that in cropping mode but that feature has disappeared? How can I rotate the picture within the shape? For instance if I wanted the ladys head to tilt 30 degrees to the right?

If you go to Format Shape, and Picture Fill options, you can find a tick box titled Rotate with shape. If you turn that off, the picture remains stationery even if the shape is turned. This is the closest I could find to the feature you are referring to...

Or, instead of those 20 steps. Just click Crop after you've added the image and you can resize it and reposition it within the frame. That works too 🙂

Doesn't work. I can't find "Format A Picture." I can't get the picture rounded. I used to use powerpoint a lot and took a class on it and it wasn't this difficult. No crop option either.

Export to Gif is available in PowerPoint 365 version. If you are not seeing it, do check for updates.

I totally agree that we can crop and adjust after inserting a picture into shape. But, most of the time, you end up eye balling the picture for its correctness rather than being precise. The method I suggested helps you be precise more easily. You would notice this more in precise technical drawings. However, thank you for bringing the point up.
