So you are planning a cruise and you want to sail out of New York. There are two cruise terminals in New York and you must know which one your ship sails out of. In this video of Cruising from New York, I am going to show you what the Brooklyn and Manhattan Cruise terminals are like, and how to get there if coming in from a subway or train. Penn Station is the business Train Station in the United States and once you know a few tricks it's easy to cruise from New York City.

I love taking amtrak there... in fact doing the same thing in November and December for cruise out of New York. It's fairly easy. Have a great trip. 👍👍👍👍

Great video. Moynihan Station is the new part of Penn Station across 8th Ave. (in the old Post Office). Many trains depart from there even if they have arrived in the old Penn Station. It’s very beautiful with many nice restaurants in the Food Hall.

The NYC ferry from Manhattan is also a very good way to get to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. Just take the South Brooklyn Ferry (Yellow line) from various piers in Manhattan such as Pier 11 and get off at the Red Hook Terminal at Brooklyn. The cruise terminal is a 0.2 mile (less than 5 mins walk) away. Cheap and more scenic way to get to the Brooklyn cruise terminal.

Thanks for the video! We will be taking the train out of Elizabethtown, PA. One question, have you ever had the train run late? Just worried about coming in same day and having something go wrong.

I just got back again this weekend on a cruise from new york. It never runs late. Every time it pulls in to exact minute. This time we had a train stuck in our way and they quickly moved it and still arrived at exact time in ny. Have a fantastic cruise. 👍👍🛳🛳

Thanks for the video great idea. How much trouble was it returning to the station via cab or Uber? Any trouble getting one with all the people getting off the ship?

My mom has limited mobility (rollator) - from train to getting into taxi. Whats the quickest way to get to taxi?

The taxis are literally right outside the entrance of the train station. Many of them. When you get off train I would ask an employee the best exit to get up to street level. You will find all the taxis.
