How To Customize YouTube Channel Branding And Layout 2021

If you want to customize your KZfaq Channel, update your channel branding or give your channel a new look, then this video walks you through how to do so, and also shows you how to set up your channel so you get more views on your KZfaq videos.
Most people don't set up their channel at all, and if they do, they don't think about how to get maximum views on their videos by setting up their channel properly.
Here David Walsh shows you step by step how to add your Profile pic, add your channel banner/channel art, how to add your branding on all your videos, as well as update the layout of your KZfaq channel and also put in a great About section on your channel so KZfaq knows what your channel is about.

Question: Can you customize your KZfaq channel so that it defaults to open the Videos (all of them) page instead of the Uploads (only most recent 15)?

I didn't know how could I move those sections up and down , saw you doing that so easily on computer but unlucky to do that on mobile ( even on desktop mode )

Hi--Featured channels used to be on the right side of page and I thought that was a better layout--now it's at the bottom of the page and I don't like it. Why have they changed the layout? I can't see any way to get it back to the old format--which I think was much better. thanks for your info--but I'm hoping you know how to get the previous layout back.

My add section list of plugins you mention in your video is seen but not active only a few are active. I can not add all my videos to my new KZfaq home page with these displayed taps not being active. I sent a feed back to KZfaq but no response. I would love to download my many videos to my home page but can not since the add section taps are seen but not active.

I just want to know how to get rid of those annoying icons [*] at the bottom of a youtube screen without hiding the current TIME (MM:SS), total time and volume button. [9 out fo the 10 at the right are not only useless to me, and on top of it all, the moving letter makes me crazy) THANKS for helping me.

That was useful as it reminded me to follow along and update my own channel, I hadn't realised that I could customize my external social media buttons to say what I would like them to say so, thank you for that information. I have a couple of KZfaq related questions that you may wish to answer here or, in a future video or, provide me a link if you have already covered these subjects. My questions are:- a). Is giving a Heart, ''I loved this comment' having any effect or not on the YT Algorithm? I know it is a courtesy to acknowledge comments and by doing so, should encourage more, but does the actual Heart over a Like (Thumbs Up) play any part in the YT Algorithm at all. b). Likes and Dislikes of a video, despite the fact that there are a lot of spiteful nasty sad people out there that will dislike someone's video as soon as it is published, do these likes and dislikes play any part whatsoever in the YT Algorithm, are negatives subtracted from positives in the tally or are negative dislikes really hurting a channel overall? Thank you in advance for any help and assistance.

Hey there Robert, B) first... they’re more or less the same. A like and dislike are interaction... so the dislikes don’t take away from the likes 😃 A) again, it’s interactions... the heart “may” have a little more weight than the Like, but overall, it’s WatchTime, View Duration and Click Through Rate are the biggies that trigger the Algo most on your videos 😎
