How to Cut Leather Backed Cork With A Cricut to Make Earrings

In this video, I share how to cut leather backed cork on a Cricut Maker machine. I also share how to make DIY earrings with the cut cork and leather earring pieces and wood. These leather, cork, and wood earrings have been very popular in my Etsy shop, but it was a bit challenging to figure out how to cut through the thick material and which jump rings were big enough for the earring wood pieces.
In the video I share the specific svg file used for the file, how to download it, how to upload the svg file in Cricut Design space, how to Prepare the canvas in Cricut Design Space. I cover which material setting I use and how to see key information about the material settings in Cricut Design Space. I also share how to put the earrings together, including the use of the wood components.

Do you ever put anything on the back of your cork earrings ?Some of my cork sheets came with marks , blemishes , on them.

If I am making faux leather earrings the material is much thinner. What do I put on the back to make it more of a sturdy product and how do I adhere it? thanks so much

I have done a few things to make the material stiffer. I’ve put HTV on the back. I’ve also turned thin faux leather into double sided faux leather. I talk about those in some of my videos.
