I prefer the koch chemie H9.02 or H8.02 compounds. I recently did a full detail, machine polish and ceramic coating using carpro cquartz UK and Gliss. The H9.02 was enough that a finishing polish made no difference and the carpro ceramic coatings reduce or eliminate waterspotting which for me is a gamechanger compared to other coatings. Did this on a VW Up by the way

h9 and h8 finish out better I think my compound test showed this. but there is a difference in finish with h9 and a proper finishing polish like m3 but granted the finish on h9 is very good but it probably should be finished out still (technically speaking although its hard for our eyes to tell, but a it will give a few extra units of gloss on the goniophotormeter if you finish it out)

I think to polish low down on a low slung sports car like that I’d probably use the trolley Jack and or axle stands to raise up the side I’m working on a little to make life easier, feeling much older than I am.

Wish Gyeon did a proper single stage that worked like primer. Just for the easy buff and so I don’t need to panel wipe after lol.

me 2 yes. single stage with ceramic primer. But that primer could also be good enough as a standable protection lasting 3 to 6 months.

I wanted to remove some light scratches and put a ceramic coat on the panels of my Ducati motorbike. Ducati do not use clear coat they only use paint. Is it ok to use a fine compound and polish up the surface before applying a ceramic coat? I assume I should use soft pads on paint?

Did you feel like the gyon polishing system delivered the results you really wanted? I've used both the compound and polish before with below average results. Your comparison videos kinda shows the same.

It does yes really though you need to finish out compound plus. Some other compounds finish better but the cut is good and it's nice to work with
