I’m still processing the fact that I actually cut my hair.. so I was having a mental breakdown and did this on a whim...I’ve never had a good relationship with my hair so I thought screw it. I followed this tutorial and omg my hair actually turned out so much better than I expected! Sure it’s not perfect but you can’t really tell. I feel so much better and don’t regret this at all. I've been trying to cut my own hair for 1-2 years now and it always looked a little wonky. I just cut mine using your technique and absolutely LOVE it! I didn’t use this to do the original cut on my hair, I split it into 2 ponytails and then cut, mostly because my hair is really thin and I’m impatient, but I did use the upwards cut and I’m going to touch it up tomorrow after I wash it using this tutorial. So far I’m super pleased and I think it looks great!! I can’t believe you gave me the guts to do it myself since I can’t afford an appointment right now and I was sick of the split ends and upkeep! You are soo cute! I am a mom of two boys, it’s hard to get in the salon for myself! So I often get frustrated and bust out my haircutting scissors and give myself a trim (bob as well 😉). My best tip is to leave it a bit longer than you’d like in case you royally mess up and need a professional to fix it 😅. I currently cut both my boys’ hair, but cutting my own hair is more challenging. I do find the blunt bob cut pretty straightforward and adding some upward texture does help make it more forgiving. You look lovely w short hair ♥️

Some people suit short hair so well. I grew my hair till knee length and kept it till there for 1 year. I grew my hair 8+ years barely trimming. I got so tired until 2 years ago i cut it as short as yours i felt the happiest. Also then i realised how better i looked in short hair. People told me it suits my face😭I'm not going long hair again ever now. It's manageable, brushing and washing is easier also if you're a gym person things are 10x easier my braid would always bother me. Buns would be too heavy for my head and drying my hair would take 6+ hours (natural air dry) my roots would still be wet it was hard taking care of thaat long hair. Short hair for life now.

Thank you for your video. I just recently had a bad hair experience at a hairdresser/stylist that I've known for years. And instead of doing a hair bob she gave me a more of what a barber would do. Not happy at all, now I have decided to stay away from her awhile and to let my hair grow out and when it gets more grown out, I'll come back to your tutorial and try to do a hair bob myself.
