I use industrial sharpie. You can also use stamp enamel that lasts awhile as well.

I tried it on 14k laser engraved bar necklace. Came right off when wiping. Is it possible engraving isn’t deep enough like stamping?

Correct - laser engraving won't be deep enough for sharpie. This is intended more for hand stamping.

Gotcha. Thanks! Would you happen to know if jewelers can darken laser engraving? Or is that something that needs to be done during the engraving process?
