3. The next letter indicate the material of construction for the pipeline. For example, "CS" may indicate carbon steel, "SS" may indicate stainless steel, and "PVC" may indicate polyvinyl chloride.
4. The final number indicate the line number or sequence of the pipeline. For example, "001" may indicate the first pipeline in the system, "002" may indicate the second pipeline, and so on.
By reading the line number in a P&ID, you can quickly identify the service, size, material, and sequence of a pipeline, which is essential for understanding the system and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
