NEW VIDEO…
Filmed on Friday, I chat with Rachel Mathews who’s been keeping an eye on Colchester Council… What started as a few people disgruntled at a council’s plans to have less cars in the city has grown into a crew of people educating councillors about the pitfalls of the so called ‘green’ movement and how it isn’t really all that green.
In this video Rachel talks about the journey that they’ve been on, and helps explain how you can keep an eye on your own council and get involved in making positive changes.

It's time people realise that WE ARE A CARBON life-force. Everything we do or make will involve some carbon processing in one form or another. It's only those that are going to benefit (financially) from all of this propaganda. My siblings and I were born and brought up on a farm....learned to shovel manure before one can crawl kinda thing....the worst thing my parents did was send us kids off to school where we learned less than what we farm kids grew up with....on top of that...the old man packed up through ill health and the old dear backed him up..... if he'd only held out for another two years....we (us kids) would still be farming the old way....producing stuff by rotation for the local community like we always did. With down heart we left that farm in 1980....I visited in 2011 & got a guided tour of the old farm buildings as they are now while giving the guide the story of what was before......I'm hoping that puts me in a good position of inheritance of the place.....no one else could have told the story of a place taken over by the takeover perp better than the victim of that take over...

Absolutely. It's also worth while to do so 5x-10x savings.... The supermarkets are also full of products which should not exist... It's like look at the melon slices vs the whole melon for example. But of course since it's illegal to carry a knife for a melon.. you gotta try to cut one with a spoon now. Ironically if people actually pushed proper "climate change policies". It would be possible to do things like slap 10-15 year warranty on common goods. Its not a climate change thing either. It just simple common sense I am fed up with things with a maximum lifetime of 4-5 years before they are dead. Something like this would reduce landfill waste and something most (if not all) consumers could get behind immediately.....

We have the ability to provide power, electric or gas, create dams for water hydro tourism, Hey, we`re a useful lot maybe worth keeping? We all work for a better society, but are poorly treated by those in power. The whole net zero thing , is good in practice, we all like to save, reuse, be resourceful, etc but governments don`t think or see the damage it causes, it`s all about power and control. Thanks Geoff and Rachel.

That's lovely to read, thank you for all you and your fellow farmers do for us all. Farming is a massively underappreciated profession. People have no idea of the real cost of food because it's all been subsidised for years... we're all going to get a nasty shock soon.

I went to a local council meeting last year (in New Zealand), and what an eye-opener it was. They spent so much time discussing some footpaths in a small village that have been dangerous for several years, and they have been discussing fising them for the last couple of years, but nothing has ever been done to fix them. Recent storms made them even worse. We're talking about a 100 metres or so of footpath. The whole 2 hour meeting was a complete waste of time. Nothing got decided, nothing got done.

I took a flight to the Med at the end of the summer. From inside the aircraft I could see what appeared to be searchlights shining up dotted around the countryside. Then I understood that I was looking at solar panels. The more they get installed, the more bright sunshine is being directed back into the atmosphere.

@@kadmow I hope that the new tech panels that look more like roof tiles will get popular soon. The point IMO is that if say 10% of available space was given over to highly reflective surfaces, we are going to make another kind of impact on global warming. @@veganvivjones4655 Not sure what you mean. My point was that if the pundits believe global warming is caused by human input (anthropogenic I think the word is), then why make it worse? Causing a significant increase in reflected sunlight is going to be problematical. After all, one of the big arguments by the eco lobby is that chemtrails are reflecting back sunlight and worsening the greenhouse effect.

Love your work Jeff , I think it needs to be pointed out ( I’m sure you know ) but councils are limited companies/ corporations they have a DUNNS number ( a registry) they have no legal rights to dictate law or legalization…. Our local council have decided to implement charging for the garden waste service wheelie bins from April 24 to fill a £1.4 million black hole in their finances. They also state that from that date residents who subscribe to the charge (£57.50 pa) will not be allowed to put compostible kitchen/food waste in the green bins anymore because they are not allowed to charge for food waste collection by law. So that will either have to be composted at home or put into the grey household waste bin. After April green bins will be withdrawn from residents not willing to pay the charge. Have these dolts in charge not realised that this will probably increase flytipping and most of a compostible item will end up in landfills (producing yet more methane!!!).

Nice to see Rachel having a Damascus revelation. Try this for a comparison. The old Bank side power station in London, which is now The Tate Modern. Used to generate 350Mega Watts per hour of electricity, on a relative small land footprint. Something to do with the power density of oil. Battersea power station about four times bigger physically produced 550 Mega Watt Hours from coal. Both station did this 365 days a year without interruption. The London array of wind turbines generates 650 Mega Watt hours from a land footprint of about fityy square miles, but only when the wind kindly blows at the correct speed. As side benefit it does keep the sea bird population down. I could go on.

I have solar panels on my house. I am under no illusion that they are any more green than the electricity supplied via a cable into the house. However I wanted to reduce my bills a bit as we get continually assaulted by high prices from the global energy cartels so I fitted them. The problem is with any consumer goods these days is that many, many products are made unethically it's so hard to find anything produced that hasn't got some sort of issue behind it in the name of profits (clothes in sweat shops, chinese slave labour to build mobile phones, etc). The panels fitted to existing roofs will not block ground absorbtion of solar energy as they sit on buildings that already do that. So hopefully all I have done is reduce my bills a little during the summer when they actually work (as during the winter they might as well not be there, which should be another question for the solar farms as they only produce about 10% of their rated energy for 4 months a year).
