Got a few requests to do a video on losing your hair (balding) see below, hope the insight is helpful. With big hollywood names like Vin Diesel, Dwayne "the rock" Johnson, Jason Statham, and Bruce Willis sporting no hair, balding shouldn't be an issue
Hey Richard, first off thanks for doing your videos. Love the car and dating advice videos! The recent video where you recommended the book The Rational Male really impacted my life. I read the book and started implementing the things it teaches. This is powerful stuff! (re-reading it right now) My question is regarding balding and dating younger women (20-25). I’m 25, fairly successful, regularly go to the gym and eat healthy. I started balding a couple of years ago. It still looks ok but I figure in the near future I will need to rock a look similar to yours. I primarily used my looks to attract women so far but I fear this will change when I loose my hair. All my peers still have a full head of hair which is making me feel insecure about it. Any tips for younger men on how to deal with balding and attracting younger women? If you feel this is a question good enough for a video please do it as it may help a lot of young men out there. Take care brother.
I looked through your videos and please excuse me if you have made a video on this subject and i just didn't see it but to the point how did going through hair loss effect you and how have you handled it. Im 32 and its at the point to where i cant hide it anymore and its now to the buzzing it every couple days stage. Im fine with it i mean it sucks for sure but its like well what can you do and i guess i had a good run with it feelings about it which took me a while to get to. When it started to go man was it pretty devastating. Only people that have gone or are going through these hairloss times understand how hard and uncomfortable it can make life more so than it already is. Curious as to your thoughts and experiences with this issue.

Attractive men are attractive men, with or without hair. Some men actually look better bald IMO. It can sometimes make a guy look more masculine.

I think it can go either way...some people look better with hair & some don’t. There’s no 1size fits all or everyone will look like Jason statham. It’s specific to each person & their attributes

Wolkify I’ll 18 and started balding about a year ago. At first it made me really upset, I couldn’t believe that I was barely starting out my best years and I was gonna be bald lol. Anyway I graduate in 3 weeks for high school and as soon as I get graduation over with I’m getting rid of it all once and for all lol. Fuck it

Britain accidentally found a cure last month for balding by accident that actually works it's a pill for treating osteoporosis their just doing testing but apparently it's a sure thing so in a year guys will have a full head of hair again and if you don't believe me go and check up on it your welcome.🖒

I just turned 23 and I shaved my head about a month ago; I've received so many compliments from both men and women since then (I'm rocking the shaved head with the beard look too). What I learned is that it is better to embrace the baldness rather than worry about your thinning/receding hair all the time (it really isn't good for your mental health). If you are worried or anxious about what you might look like with a bald/shaved head, like I was, you should follow this plan if you can: Shave your head, go travelling for about a month (preferably somewhere with sun so your head can get a good tan), and bring a good baseball cap/toque (this helps you overcome the intial phase). That way you get used to your shaved head by the time you come home and it really isn't a big deal anymore because people are far more interested to hear about your trip.

If you are attractive enough, you don't even need the beard, like Kelly Slater. The beard is just a crutch for bald guys whose lower face isn't good enough but their head shape is good enough for bald. The rest of us are stuck with the horseshoe...

@@beefwell3566 A lot of men have weird shaped or huge heads instead of the nice little perfectly round heads you see on bald guys in movies so they look better keeping the horseshoe to even their features out. Better to look like an older man than look like an alien or chemo patient or adult baby. A lot of time people don't have the luxury of picking their best option...it's more about picking their least bad option.

Good tips. Much appreciated. A well-groomed goatee would suit you I think. For the younger viewers: I’m 61. Here are my tips. Whatever you do, don’t get fat. Secondly, watch your blood lipids - coronary artery disease is the sneak thief of life. Thirdly, as you age, your hairline will be the last thing that will concern you as unavoidable diseases crop up. (I’m going blind with glaucoma, despite having had multiple surgeries, and it certainly puts things into perspective for me.) Stay healthy and enjoy your life for as long as you can, right up until the end, hair or no hair. Best wishes.

I was insecure about losing my hair in my mid 20s. I finally shaved it all of in my early 30s and I never felt more confident. It was liberating. To anyone else, still struggling just embrace it and rock that shit! Like our brother from another mother here just said it, own that shit! 😎

Just come back after a year of watching this video, needless to say it lead to me shaving my hair off. I just want to say thank you a year down the line and I can honestly say it's the best move I made. I was hanging on to what I had for too long and now when I look back on pictures I feel sick, I don't no who it why I was trying to impress hanging onto it. "shave your fuckin' head and own it". That is the absolute answer right there. I started losing my hair just after high school. If I grow my hair out I look like Krusty the clown. Shave it, own it. Save yourself so much grief. Do you want to be like those women who dye their hair for the rest of their life trying to hide grey roots just because they are in denial about who they are? Or the ones who slather on layers of makeup to hide their 'flaws'? Don't do it. Just be yourself and go with it. It shows self confidence and saves yourself a tonne of stress.

Chris K are you owning your baldness because you shave your head? Wouldn't owning your hair loss mean that you allow your hair to grow in the direction nature has taken it? You are exactly the same as the women who dye their hair. You adjusted your hair loss to what was available to you. If a woman wants to dye her hair, so be it. It's not as easy for women to age as it is for men. Women love older men. Men don't love older women

Exactly. Bald men are losing all their hair due to their accelerated ageing process. They are poor specimens and often attempt to balance the inadequacy with working out a lot. And telling many people about it. It sure gets tedious but you should indulge them or they get sad. The real sad part is how they act so unmanly, always grooming and looking in mirror worrying obsessively about pesky sprouts of hair revealing pattern baldness Messing up their bald perfection. Really, they act more like lady or the homosexual man than the real man.

I’m 21, started shaving my head about 9 months ago. Was super ashamed of it and I literally wore a hat everywhere I go. Started working out and then finally shaved it. Best decision ever, I feel 10x more confident and true to myself. I also haven’t had any trouble picking up girls like I thought I would either. If I can do it, everyone else can do it too

Started going bald at 18, accepted by 21 but took me till around my wedding to convince my wife and mother (hair dresser) to just accept I was gonna shave it. Literally the day I shaved it my wife couldn't keep her hands off of my head. Nearly two years since and she still needs to rub my head every night in bed.

I couldn't agree more. I was so afraid of shaving my head, and how people might perceive me. But only after I did it, I realized how much more honest I felt. BEFORE, I was trying to cover it up and pretend to be someone I'm not. I can't stress enough, how much more confidence it gives you, when you just don't give a f*** anymore and just be a badass ;) .. and one other thing I realized...nobody cares about your shaved head. You are who you are, except more confident.

Agreed 100%. I started developing a bald spot on my crown back in college. Started shaving it regularly ever since and never looked back. Just own it and make it part of your personality, there will always be women who are into it. Working out and building some muscle also helps complete the look; nothing worse than a bald skinny guy. Lastly, the amount of time you will save on hair products is liberating.

I started balding at the age of 24. As soon as I did I almost immediately starting hitting the gym to build my physique up. I'm 28 now and am lucky enough to have a strong jawline and nice thick beard. I love my "jacked, bald" look. Being Skinny bald is not the best route (in my opinion) so control the things you can and hit the gym hard.

Love the advice. 35 year old bald man here, shaving my head and with a beard (a lot like yours). Granted, I've been shaving my head (off and on) since wrestling in high school so I'm probably more comfortable with the look than most would be at first, but the absolute best advice is simply to own who you are. I frankly like the image I've built for myself, bald head and all.

Don’t ruin your life by going bald. Most men cannot pull it off, regardless of the copium. Take finasteride ASAP and minoxidil if it’s gone that far. Save your hair.

Nothing screams insecurity like a balding guy trying to cover it up. Accept it. Own it. I started losing my hair in my mid twenties and immediately started to close crop it. Now I use a Wahl clipper every day. Most of the women I know say they like it. One thing though, stay fit and slim. Fat bald men are not a good look.

scanspeak00 I don't think you are aware of the advancements made in hair regrowth. Propecia works. Minoxidil works. There are guys who use minoxidil to grow beards. You shave your head. I will keep my hair as long as I can

scanspeak00 Just use a dht blocking conditioner. you'll be fine. after about 3 months you will see some improvements. after a year you'll love it. you have to catch it early through, right when hairloss is starting. I myself will just be shaving my head. I've wanted a shaven head with a beard for a while now.

Propecia destroys your lust for sex completely and IT STAYS THAT WAY. i've read of people who took Propecia and killed themselves after they recognized it destroyed their sex life for the rest of their life. Minoxidil is alright. it does a little bit and has no side effects. I used it as my hair was slowly falling out. It stopped my hair loss for some years.

I agree that if you start balding, just shave your head. Since I've been in this situation, I do realise it can be scary to shave your head for the first time. What I did was shave my head while I was on holiday (alone). It's a good way to get used to your new look and become more comfortable around people that don't know you.

As a woman, I’m completely lost as to why men care about this? I really do love a nice head of hair, but bald is sexy too. Don’t be fooled by your “competition”- most of your friends with hair have ugly haircuts =not sexy. I think facial hair on a man is MUCH sexier than a full head of hair. There is nothing like the feel of scruff touching your face when a man kisses you.

good advice, I started losing my hair at 18. I got over it pretty quickly and just started trimming my hair as short as it can possibly go for that borderline bald look. im 32 now and the top of my head is pretty much completely bald but it honestly doesn't look too bad if i keep the rest of my head shaved. The only thing that really sucks is I never got to have any cool stylish cuts growing up.

I think going bald can be devastatiing for some men, especially younger guys and the fact of this should not be understated. There are some genuine options out there and I would encourage men who are in the initial stages of thining , and are concerned about it to investigate those options. Most women do prefer hair on a man's head acording to many studies.

Just get a hair system. Its cheap, and effective and when done correctly, does in fact look good. Girls get to wear high heels, pushup/padded bras, breast surgery, makeup, fake eyelashes, fake eyebrows, fake nails, dye their hair, style their hair, hair extensions, wear weaves, get botox, lip injections, face lifts, and nose jobs. Hair transplants have gotten more sophisticated. Hair systems have also significantly improved. Micropigmentation (tattoo hair) looks great on tanner skinned people. Its not a waste of time at all, a lot of people look bad bald, and I know this channel underestimates looks a lot, but it matters so much in modern day for young people.

I have always been a reserved individual. I had really nice hair throughout high school. But around 19 years old i started noticing my hairline receding. It freaked me out. My hair started thinning really bad. I used rogaine for about a decade and i tried everything to hide it. My confidence was shot and i never really dated anyone in my 20's. It was hard because i already had trouble talking to women and on top of that i was losing my hair. Just last year i decide to shave it. It was weird at first but I got used to it. I dont even stress about it anymore. As a matter of fact I have gotten more attention bald then when i had hair. I think the fact that i shaved helped alleviate the stress from my shoulders. In an odd way i felt more confident. As a result i had more success with women than when i had hair. At the end of the day it doesn't matter. Women are going to like you for who you are regardless of hair. Confidence goes a long way. So if any of you out there are stressing about it just shave it, give it some time, and you'll get used to it. But during that time build yourself. Improve your life and confidence. It'll go a long way.

the things you're saying are fair and really the only way to deal with balding (if meds dont help) is to just accept it and move on. you're a fairly good looking guy with a decent head shape that suits the bald look. you can also grow a beard. balding can be very hard to accept for some blokes if you are not that good looking from the start, your head isnt an aesthetic shape and to top it off you cant grow a solid beard. i always hear that guys are concerned that women wont find them attractive anymore. i think the greater concern is that some men wont be happy with what they see in the mirror and that can weigh you down day in day out. once again, i agree with your comments but you lucked out with your head shape etc so maybe some understanding in regards to what most men experience when they lose their hair would be appreciated.

Normally man has been thecone who does the work and brings the money a woman has been the one who takes care about home amd children. So it has been normal that man is 30 - 40 years old before marriage since he needed to gather the capital and make a house and all king of things before marriage. And they married often vety young girls like 15-20 years old. And this is still very normal outside of europe. Naturally a girl is more attractive when she is younger but man is actually more masculine and more manlike when he is little older. Western thinkimg that makes men and women samealike is actually very bad in a longrun.

Dwayne Johnson is not attractive because he is bald, but because he is very muscular and has a nice looking face. And because he is famous of course. The same goes for many famous bald men. Lack of hair is a non-issue, if you have everything else going for you. But let's say that you are not very muscular and you have a weird scull shape, then things are not looking so bright...

Im 31, balding as well, and I myself also try to cover it up by growing my hair out and covering up my receding hairline. I've recently shaved my head down to a 3 clip, but after watching this video im considering shaving it down to a 1 or shorter, and just owning it. I think worrying about covering it up, bothers me and makes me more insecure than anything. Will report back when I take that step.

OMG .... When I started losing my hair in College (age 21-22) I thought it was the end of the world. I tried everything and waisted a lot of money, time and worry. Now, at 43 years of age, I have a beautiful wife, large home with a pool and a Supercharger Viper for fun. And I remember an older friend of mine discussing the subject with me and he said "act like who gives a fuck". And that simple phrase helped a lot.

Because my friend, it really is just that simple... and keep it simple. It is so common these days, so just tell yourself "who gives a fuck". Say it to yourself!!!!!! It made me feel better and I stopped looking in the mirror as much and stopped caring about looks. You will find out as the years go by, no one cares as much about it AS YOU. Shit like that is so superficial. Train hard, study hard, work hard, enjoy life.

Viper ACR the thing is even if nobody would give a fuck this would not help me because this would not change the fact that I don't like it myself. of course if you don't mind it then you could get over it as quickly as you get over the need for approval from others but if you hate it no matter how much and how many people would tell you it doesn't matter you would still be stuck in a place of misery. you could still work hard to get in shape, dress better, educate yourself, work hard, travel, etc...but at the end of the day you would still not be happy with yourself.

I only gave you a tool that helped me. It will not make everything perfect, but it helped me to get by and stop thinking about it. Get in your mind: we can't all be Brad Pitts, so F it, and be glad you are not in a wheelchair, blind, have MS, Cancer, CP, any other horrible illnesses that others have. Because in the end, it's all perspective. You hate yourself, no one else does!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can't change it, so the hardest thing is to accept it!!!!!!! When you do, you will feel a huge weight lifted off you chest (consciousness) and enjoy life. IT WON"T HAPPEN OVER NIGHT. Remember what I just told you and over many months you will realize what I'm saying is true.

Venor M it comes with age and environment. The older you get the less you care about things like this. For example you see kids in middle and high school who are extremely paranoid about fashion and having the most up to date clothing/ accessories. However when these guys go off to college they enter a world where image is not a big deal at all and most people’s focus is on their education. So people care a lot less about things they considered “crucial to their happiness” while in grade school. Also when you are in an environment where you have great friends and a good social life, to tend to care less about image and more about having fun with your friends.

I started loosing my hair being 19yo I knew it was coming since EVERY MAN ever in my family is bald, so I decided to just enjoy my hairs as long as the balding didnt become too obvious... Then I start lying to my self that it wasnt, then 2 weeks ago being now a 22yold I decided to just shave it off and it's the BEST DECISION I made so far in my life, being bald gave me so much self confidence I can't even explain it, and the other good thing about it is that it motivates me to go to the gym, I think it's because without hair a man look manlier so I need the muscle to go with that . I started loosing hair around 25, mostly on back of head, so i used hairstyles that requires bald back of head and managed to cover that problem for at least 2-3 years. Then I embraced bald look, and now i actually dig it more than hairstyles which hide bald spots. Its all about how YOU feel in it, not how others see it. If u feel great in it, put noticable muscles, smile a lot, you might end up like Vin Diesel or Dwayne Johnson (look wise) and a lot of girls dig that.
