your coworkers are not your friends! that's a difficult lesson to learn if you're just starting out in a job/career but it's important to keep work and personal separate. go to work, do your job, be kind, but they do not need to know too much about you!

Sis. I just left a job where I was there for a loooong time everyone was literally like fam and chill. Fast forward new job…backstabbers did no reason. I’ll go even farther. Don’t tell them isht. Not your favorite book, not your favorite color. Nothing. They will find something is what is seemingly innocent info and try to turn it on you. My policy is that if it’s not work related, I don’t talk about it. I’m here to make money, not friends. I don’t like it bc I never had to deal with this and was always friendly with everyone and everyone liked me…but not here. Btw…jus got hip to your content today and love it
