How to Deal With Jealous Coworkers

Do you have a jealous coworker? Do you want to know how to deal with jealous coworkers? Jealous coworkers can make your work life difficult. Their anger, contact put downs and passive aggressive behaviour can really make you dread coming into work!
Most people ignore jealous coworkers and their toxic comments. It feels easier to do rather than directly addressing the issue. But from my experience, this only exacerbates the issue and encourages them to continue to be toxic towards you.
In order to deal with jealous coworkers, you have to understand them to disarm them. And that's what this video will help you do. I first go through how to understand this jealous coworkers and work out "why" they're giving you a hard time. Then I tell you what you can say to that jealous coworker so they'll stop giving you a hard time in the future.
Having some strategies up your sleeve will help you deal with the jealous coworker rather than ignore them.

I have co workers that are jealous of my talents and I just keep my distances. I’m an introvert person I spend time alone and it’s the best way. They try to get into my personal life and I don’t let them and it’s none of their business anyway. They really need to find their lights in their talents instead of worrying about someone else!!!! 😳

If a co-worker is jealous of me, (and they have been) then that's their problem and not mine. I am not now, nor have I ever been jealous of anyone else, for any reason. Snarky women are a dime a dozen, but my inner strength is priceless.

According to my experience, setting boundaries and keeping distance with jealous people is the best way to get rid of them. Taking to HR or telling the jealous people that they are hurting me made things worse. What if the HR is a jealous person too, the same kind of people support each other. Jealous person is making conscious effort to hurt me, telling her to stop getting jealous of me did not make her stop instead she got more jealous.

I'm going through the same thing and thinks that being distance is the best. Talking to the jealous person doesn't help and going to HR may not be the way forward (depends on the circumstance obviously). They do on a sneaky level, being passive aggresive

It happened at my current job, dude would disrespect me, invade my personal space and more. 1 day I had enough I followed him to the bathroom it was just me and him and I told him. "I COME HERE TO GET MY LITTLE PAYCHECK AND GO HOME, I SWEAR ON EVERYTHING IF U STOP ME FROM FEEDING MY FAMILY I WILL MAKE SURE I STOP YOU FROM FEEDING YOURS!!! AND YOU CAN TAKE IT HOW YOU WANNA TAKE IT. ...Yea i made whole violent threat but i never had a problem with him again. And we both are still coworkers but we dont talk at all. He avoids me now just how i like it 💯

Dont blame u bro! Sometimes being straight up will make them realize. I dealt with a narcissist boss and I told his ass straight up how it was! Eventually he got fired for hooking up with little girls. Dude was such a manipulator bro and everyone thought he was this great person until he got caught up.

It’s insecurity with them I always distance myself because I don’t want to get caught up in no mess with them. They be in groups talking and I keep busy like I’m cleaning up or collecting trays and stuff.

Ignore my dear. Don't add kindling to the fire. It will fizzle out on its own. Don't go out of your way to avoid them as this means you are thinking about them. Just focus on other parts of your life. Maybe planning a date with your partner, focus on any hobby...just kick them out of your life and mind...the saying pay them no mind and be literal about it 😂

I have a jealous coworker, but I believe she is a narcissist, so I don’t think speaking to them and explaining to them normal. Things will work. I know this because I’m divorcing a grandiose narcissist right now. I’ve been in therapy learning about narcissism for the past year. I never knew after finding out about narcissism through my husband that I would be dealing with more narcissistic people including family members. I believe she enjoys starting trouble and being antagonistic and I don’t believe me getting agitated is my insecurity. I just believe people should be nice to each other. I am the type of person who will confront a bully , but your video was helpful and can help certain situations.

I am two weeks in my new workplace now. I tryed to fit in by following the rules, asking my coworkers of there is anything specifi to do. If not I would ask the other guys or just search something myslef (retail). After only some days I realised that my words have been twitested making me look like I am complaining in a hidden way, or cutting my independence in several ways. When I had something like that, I came up to her to talk about it and she kinda doesnt explain herself/defends her desicion which is confusinig me.

Then I had some female’s coworkers that tried to use deflective tactics of trying to blame me for something but turn around it was them and the supervisor notice it about her and she got written up with a letter of reprimand

That actually is happening with me now at my job this female had tried to put herself into a situation that ,wasn't even about her in the first place, so she started the whole drama. My manager had thought that it's was me but after her keep coming back the second time that when they had called her out on it. The whole thing wasn't even a huge issue.

You know just move on, focus on other things. The more you watch such videos, you will find your self focusing on them as you are trying to find a solution of which they are the problem; a problem which is neither of your making nor in your control. Hence, stop watching these videos, focus on other things especially hobbies, as they help with your focus because you like them, and move on with your life. Just stop thinking about them, and the dread will disappear.

Either ignore or crush the prospects of the jealous person. Don’t be empathetic and don’t use energy trying to walk on needles around them or giving thought into a person who’s not thinking about your wellbeing. Be professional, nice or nice-nasty and WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING they do to you and your response if any. Most importantly learn as much as possible to advance beyond them and possibly become their manager or reduce your prospects of being fired due to politics. Have a backup job.

Just straight to the point if they are causing a mess - I’m saying “I see that you have certain problems with me. If I can’t help you with this, I will tell this to our LM how we can solve it better.” And never ever go back because they want that. @@kararonin I'm from Canada. What is your advice? Same here being bullied, mobbed, gaslighting, harassed at the hospital for over 12 years. I've happened to be the top worker for 38 years and have never been suspended. These bullies are jealous and miserable people. Union, manager, HR and the police are all totally useless. Bullies are lazy bums and stupid managers are scared of the bullies. They say about me I'm crazy, I drink, I'm a stalker all bs defamation of character. The biggest mistake since they removed disciplinary measures. They should arrest the bullies and fire the manager. Action speaks louder than nasty words. It destroyed my reputation. I will never quit to make these lazy bums ever win. If I decide to transfer to another hospital and may start gaslighting, smearing and bullying me once again, I don't know all the new managers etc. like in every department like now. So best to not change hospitals. I will never let bullies try to control me from quitting. Just don't react and not try to defend yourself which will only go back and forth making me look even more guilty. Action always speaks louder than words. Just best ignore them and find another easier target. Never let these low life lazy bums win ever win.

I’m sorry but distancing yourself doesn’t work, at least not for me. I stay out of the way on purpose & it makes them talk even more, because I’m not in their “cliques”. I went to the supervisor and everything and manager it turned out the jealous one was in the wrong anyways. Then not only that they made their own self looked dumbfounded in front of everyone and got the last laugh lol!!!!

Hi, Kara !! I have received a mail regarding my internal manager post stating that your interview will be on so and so date (1st time). I was very much excited and prepared for the same. later they postponed the date(2nd time), I have been preparing and waiting for them to be interviewed, again they have postponed (3rd time). This time I thought that finally the day has come for me to give my interview test. Later they have cancelled the interview itself. I couldn't understand and for some time I was shocked. Can you pls help me to whom I should ask and what could be the general reason behind this.

I recommend asking the person who organised the interview, either the recruiter or the person in that company. Emphasise how excited you were for the interview and ask them for a reason as to why the interview won't take place. As to my thoughts on this: well, companies are going through a lot of uncertainty at the moment. That company may have intended to interview you before, but with changes in the wider economy, they may not have the budget to hire any new employees. They probably won't tell you that, but I would say it's related to the difficult economy we have right now. Regardless, keep trying for the next job!

my coworker is jealous because my family bought a new vehicle that's expensive. She wants to buy too. Everything I bought she wants to buy too. She's so envious of what I have. I think she's insecure. She got a nice house and nice things, nicer than mine but I'm not envious. I don't get peer pressured when I was in school. I just don't buy it. But maybe my coworker is someone who get swayed easily to have this or that. She's having a loan and she got money problems because of her buying this or that just to keep up with the neighbors or me. I think she got problems. As for me, it's hard to share something about myself like if I bought something new. I'll just stop sharing my personal life with her so she won't have to be envious of me and stop me looking like a braggart to her.

Sometimes maybe there is a reason for them triggering others perhaps others have their own insecurities however 99% of the time the one being toxic is deliberately purposefully trying to trigger others thats their goal, their aim, that is what they are focusing their energy on its not a random incident its their lifes work to do that with others

This sounds like a problem of people interrupting you then taking control of the conversation. If people misunderstand your point, it's important you tell them. Say something like, "I think you've misunderstood what I was saying. Let me clarify before we all get confused" and then clarify your point.

It's because I am single and free to go and come when ever I want. I am happily single. I have no empathy for that person, and I won't dial down to make them comfortable. So thanks but no thanks. They actually make me laugh 😅 because they can't change anything about me. They clearly have difficulty changing this about their own self. So be jealous af. Idc. Ftb.
