My dear, YOUR ideas are good but your words are too drawn out and over explained. I think that a shorter, more concise version would be welcomed. You also speak slowly like me, which exacerbates this. My comment is only meant to help!

Working hard gets you NOTHING STOP IT!!! Also, a trick I have learned in management is to not tell someone what I am looking and then have they run around like a crazy person to get all kids of things done. Or they just Fail and that's fun to watch too.

Kara, thanks for making this video. I wanted to ask about your point on not reading from notes to maintain eye contact. Does this also mean we should avoid taking notes during conversations for the same reason?
@kararonin
@kararonin 2 күн бұрын
It depends on what type of conversation you're having. If it's a conversation where you're learning something from the other person/s, it's ok to take notes. Just make sure they're not long notes. I recommend that you say something like, "Do you mind if I take notes about this?" before you start, that way you get the other person's permission to break eye contact so you can take notes. This is a polite way of going about it.

Anyone can be replaceable. Don’t think you are the only one indispensable! If they don’t value and see your talents you’re in the wrong place. Go somewhere that people appreciate and value your skills and talents! Simple!

Main reason why younger generation constantly keeps job hunting and quit every few yrs and don't stay in 1 company. The common theme.... manager being the problem. Leaving will get you inflation adjusted wages and growth. Staying means being used abused and discarded. Younger generation know this so constantly quit. In the end the company turns toxic and crappy.

Content presented this way is so annoying as an educator. Just tell people what to do instead of to "NEVER" do.

Hi, Kara Ronin, Hoping you in best version of your life. To me presentation is implementation of your pre-thought process in currrent situaiton at hand. Close your eyes, Create your mental palace of a hall full of people, Give your presentation while looking as a critic.

I always seek for answers why my co-workers and Team Leader always push me for promotion, now I know the answers. I always do the opposite. I now know how to stop that as I do not want any promotion, it is making me frustrated when others push me to do do what I do not want. I know this is called promotion anxiety but dang! , thank you for you giving me the brightest idea. Love lots. :) ( I have a medical condition that is much more important than the promotion )

What of your boss is there too and whatever you say she will later on take a sig on you?In my first job I was so fearful to speak. Moreover one of my male colleagues (same position) used to talk or make comments about my work however I could not say anything because he was dating my boss.Is it still my fault or communication problem? I sought help from the CEO as well but she blamed it on me saying nothing like that(my boss was the most critical person there and the ceo was lazy she used to give all her work to my boss) I was a junior social media manager.
