Love the idea of a jiu jitsu journal to mark your progress and work things out. I'll definitely be doing that 💕

Thanks for making this vid! I started training two days ago and I'm learning a lot from your channel. I started keeping a journal of mainly the skills I've been learning, but I definitely need to remember to keep track of frustrations and mindset.

You've inspired me to do jiu-jitsu Journaling. I have already been writing down each exercise I do my miles walked and occasionally other stuff, like I was sick or felt tired, just a note here and there. Now I'm seriously going to make some journal entries. Thank you. I'm sure it will be helpful. I enjoy your channel. (Just one month in at 71 y/o).

Thank you for sharing your journey. I’m brand new to Jiu jitsu after years of fighting competitively in Tae Kwon Do. My switch from TKD came after an accident over a year ago where I broke my neck making me a quadriplegic paralyzed from my chest down. Since most of the work is on the ground I’m giving it a shot. I can only do 1:1 private lessons but still looking forward to progressing if I can.

I'm so so sorry that happened to you, but WOW, you are so strong and courageous for giving jiu jitsu a try. You will definitely progress, just keep at it the best that you can. :)

Another great video. I really appreciate all the effort it takes for you to produce these. I went to my first open mat today and did some rolling. And didn’t die 😉😉!!!!

Thank you so much for the video! Journal is such a great idea, gives me an excuse to buy a new notepad as well 😂 Not sure if you had a video like that already, but it would be very interesting to see if there are any jiu-jitsu specific gym exercises you recommend to increase strength and overall fitness

Love your videos! I am 3 classes in and out journal entries sound the same lol. Question for you...how did you tackle cardio? I've heard doing sprints helps...but I die from the cardio during class :( tips?
@kimberlykinch
@kimberlykinch 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much!! Yeah when I had a regular gym membership I used to sprint a couple times a week. I think it can absolutely be helpful in your overall conditioning, BUT, I do feel like the best way to improve jiu jitsu cardio is just by doing jiu jitsu. Your body just isn't used to rolling yet - you'll get there! :)
