I throw random wrenches, broken drivers, etc into my Misc. Steel bin and use it to forge into something useful down the road. If anything, it's free blacksmithing practice steel.

Until I had a shop built I had tools scattered. Upstairs, downstairs, main floor, both vehicles. And in boxes all over. I now have 90% in my tool boxes still have some organizing to do but when I started gathering them all. I found tools I forgot I had. You can be so much more productive when you have a dedicated spot. And not looking for a tool.

No better fix for a persistent cough than a good ole fashion sauna. Building one isn't hard. I built mine 8x8 and found a used little wood stove on market place for 50 bucks. I might have a couple hundred bucks into the thing and it's one of my favorite projects I've done around my place. It's a great addition to the cold plunge regime. Plus it'd be a really cool series of videos to do.

@wranglerstar it looks like you're flipping between task-centric (all pliers in one spot) and purpose-centric (all air tools in one spot) organization.. Do you have a way of identifying what you need or is it just "if you know you know" for you? I tend to stick with "specialty tools grouped by purpose - pneumatic impact wrenches in the Air Tools section" and "generic tools by task - wrenches in the wrench drawer".. that way if I need something to do a kind of task, I know to look in the area for where the tools for that task should be... but if I'm doing something more invovled and need a specialty tool, I know to look into the specialty tools storage areas. Of course, "specialty" tools will vary from person to person based on their perspective, but the concept will be the same, regardless..

Paint the handles/ tape or mark in some way the specialty tools that are stored with your common tools. Like that master link clip pliers you created. They will be easier to find, you could color code them to specific jobs/ bikes as well.
