How to Decoupage a Metal Pitcher With Gold Accents

In this DIY tutorial, I show you how to transform a plain metal pitcher into a unique and beautifully decoupaged piece using paper napkins.
Follow along as I walk you through the process of decoupaging with paper napkins, and demonstrate how to fix any tears or mistakes that may occur along the way. I also attempted to add gold leaf accents to the pitcher, but it didn't quite go as planned- instead, I ended up with gold specks! Despite this, the end result is still a stunning and personalized pitcher that I'm excited to use in my home decor.

- decoupage glue: Art Potch
- chalk paint: Vintage Paint by JDL - Warm Cream
- top coat: Polyvine Decorator's Varnish

You did a nice job with the pitcher it’s so pretty with the red flowers. I’ve don’t the same thing with gold leaf and ended up with gold specs and it looks good that way. You‘re very good at laying out the pattern. Do you apply the final seal or varnish after the glue or without the topcoat of glue? Thanks for sharing

Thank you for watching 🩷 I only apply glue on chalk paint. I paint over the napkin with varnish.

I want to do this I've never done this before your work is really pretty and you're very very detailed thank you for the video especially for someone like me who's never done this. my question is I would like to do this on a terracotta pot, but I also want to put my flower and vegetables in it

I have a metal planter I painted with chalk paint and sealed with an outdoor varnish outside. After three winters, it is still beautiful. With terracotta I would first seal it, so that the moisture would not seeo through it and then continue with white paint, varnish to glue napkins and three coats of varnish over the napkin.
