@@Tupeutla whilst correct, he did have a stick. You can have dual controls, just tend to have the PIC in the right seat unlike fixed wing which is the left seat (typically, but not always of course)

They all have vast skills and combined can drive nearly all types of vehicles. Jeremy has oat licence, May has plane licence and Hammond has helicopter licence. I only do not know if any of them can drive a submarine

+Uthpala Bandara Lady Diana was a widely known anti-landmine advocate. She spoke against the use of these weapons, visited land mine victims and made rounds to giving moral support to personnel clearing mine fields of former armed conflict zones during her time. That much I know. Clarkson deemed it fair game to crack a little joke about her association with the movement. Nice one JC.

I crewed a CET with true friends, I commanded a CET with true friends, and I instructed courses on the CET to Sappers I had just met. I had 3 of them [affectionately known as "Frogs"] under my command for almost 3 years and loved very minute. They are temperamental, noisy and prone to failure - but an absolute blast and certainly a way to get yourself noticed when on public roads. Great times which remain a highlight of my life.
